16th Corps are in full retreat back to Western Ukraine in order to be safely resupply and recover from over losses in order to continue the fight. The 2nd Nigerian division will provide rear guard action as they are the more intact division at 71%.

We will be back to eastern Ukraine once we are back to full strength again. Danm I thought I had the advantage.

3rd Army

16 Corps
Mech, so you wish to retreat, then fight over the terrain again without purpose.
Figure out a target to attack. You have 3 divisions. You did have advantages in men and material. Not in leadership, The EE is more motivated to find a winning solution.
You are only fighting the 94th EE Div.
We have 7500 CHIdom airborne soldiers. Where would you like them dropped?
You better get off your lazy a&# and move it forward. Use a Nigerian Div to attack/demonstrate in front. You take your 1st NCAF to swing around and through the 94th right/northern flank. Have the other Nigerian Div do the same on the other flank. The 94th is at 50%. With 3 damn divisions with the lowest at 68%, you should be able to finish that division off as a fighting force.
Thos are your ORDERS, I expect you to follow them, the intent to execute the plan. Do not deviate. Don’t have any other full frontal attacks, unless you wish to lead it personally.

Unfortunately Im dealing with more than the 49th, the 63rd and 64th EE came in to reinforce them, now they maneuvered around me and cut me off from the bridge.

My NC Division is too badly weakened at 35%

From 16 Corps

MAYDAY!!! MAYDAY!!! MAYDAY!!! This is 16th Corps we are under heavy attack by Imperial Forces, they got us cut off from the bridge while we are trying to retreat, please send what ever help you have to get my Corps out of here.

3rd Army

I am not sure how 1 man can surround 3? But it happened, actually surrounded 3!!

16 Corp
You are only fighting 1 dang division. 2 strong regiments are guarding the bridge. The 94th EE May have lost ability to move and fight as a division.
Take 1st NCAF and 1st the Nigerian Div. we will drop the 7500 CHIdom airborne on west side of the bridge so they may not move further East. They can Put some offensive pressure on 63rd and 64th regiments from the west. Put artillery in on those two regiments. Put mortar fire on the men in those regiments. HE and WP rounds.
Does N.C. have any attack helicopters and/or aircraft? Hit them with HE, White Phosphorus, and Fuel Air Explosive from aircraft.
Have the 2nd Nigerian Div push up to engage. Let the armor eliminate pockets with infantry.
.

.
Now I’m thinking back to your comments, Mech, to command the 3rd Army. Not sure how that would have gone. Do you know?

I got CF-18s flying in to strafe the EE off the bridge. if you can hold them off the 16th Corps will be able to escape this crossfire.

Im not sure how it happened ether, we where in the middle of getting reinforcements and supplies when those 2 EE regiments showed up to reinforce the 94th, they caught us completely by surprise. the 94th is already rendered combat ineffective from our Corps wide charge yesterday. however The 16th was too badly weakened to counter the EE reinforcements it so I was forced to called a retreat.

16 th Corps
Skip the starving, use FAE, skip the retreat. I’ll drop CHIdom behind them west of the bridge. They have more soldiers than the 2 EE regiments, the 1NCAF has more than the 2 regiments, the Nigerian Division has more.

I am not sure how many times I need to repeat this.
Use all artillery from 1NCAF, 1st Nigerian Div.
Use you AirPower , at least 1/2 available to hit the regiments with HE, bomb-let, FAE,
Put pressure on the EE forces, cautious attack. Let the ‘King of the Battlefield’ do the work - artillery.

I wish I can use Artillery but the 16th corps unfortunately expended all of its artillery ammo in that 5 hour bombardment on the 94th yesterday, and plus I do not want to risk accidentally destroying with explosive ordinance from the CF-18s.

With the Imperial 94th Division’s breakthrough and seizure of the Cherkasy bridgehead, the Imperial commander went for the opportunity to break 3rd Army in half. All available Imperial Air Force aircraft were armed and sent into the Cherkasy area with orders to destroy the Coalition’s 16th Corps and ensure that the bridgehead was destroyed.

At the same time, the coalition scrambled all available aircraft of their own to aid 16th Corps and a massive air battle erupted in the skies over Cherkasy. The Coalition squadrons prevailed in the air, and the Coalition forces on the ground succeeded in re-capturing the damaged bridgehead, destroying what remained of the 94th MRD in the process. One bridge at Cherkasy was destroyed, but the second bridge remains open and the Imperia Air Force appears to be finished as a coherent force.

Coalition 3rd Army is forming two additional corps headquarters to assist with command and control of the campaign.

In the North
The Imperial 125th Tank Division renewed its attack in Kiev this morning, taking advantage of the crisis in Cherkasy and the reduced number of ground attack aircraft available to the battle for Kiev. A second tank regiment from the division took the lead and initially pushed the Balzac Brigade back into the outskirts of Kiev. Imperial tanks and motor infantry advanced into the suburbs and several neighborhoods of the city were damaged in the vicious fight. The Camastan Brigade and the newly resupplied 1st Cavalry counter-attacked the 125th from the south-east. The lead tank regiment of the 125th was crushed between the RPNW cavalry and the Balzac Brigade, and follow on regiments were badly damaged.

The 125th attack stalled, and the divisional artillery regiment began an artillery barrage to cover the withdrawal of its engaged forward units. RPNW Division units have completed their resupply and are now available to join the battle.

In the Center
The 16th Corps was initially disorganized as the 94th MRD seized the bridgehead, but the Nigerian Divisions rallied and counter-attacked. At the same time, overwhelming Coalition air power battered the Imperial troops with constant air strikes. Some Imperial troops crossed to the west side of the river, but newly arrived Chidom troops engaged them, killing 24 soldiers, and the Imperial troops retreated back into the hell that the bridgehead had become.

After several hours, the Imperial survivors surrendered to the 16th Corps and the bridgehead was opened, although only one bridge remained intact.

In the South
CoC 5th Corps continued to pursue the 805th MRD into the city of Donetsk. The CoC 11th Armored Division harried the Imperial retreat, but several thousand Imperial troops were able to reach the city where the non-divisional troops of the 5th Army had established a defensive perimeter and occupied the city.

Further south the Imperial 35th Infantry Division agreed to surrender to the CoC divisions that had surrounded the Imperil troops and pounded them with air and artillery and tank fire for days without letup. The Imperial commander is complying with the CoC commander’s instructions, but moving slowly and dragging the surrender process out.

At Sea
The Imperial carrier Veres has launched her air wing – 5 squadrons of combat aircraft – to attack the CoC naval task force tonight in the dark. The CoC ships are prepared to meet their foe, along with several squadrons of land-based fighters and bombers.

The 16th Corps is badly mauled, it will take some time to recover before I can continue fighting again, but with the bridge head secured I can start getting supplies in to help get the Corps back up to speed.

Meanwhile Im getting hounded at by the 3rd Army Commander, over what happened here.

At Sea
Last night a battle unfolded in and over the Black Sea, west of the Crimean Peninsula when ships and aircraft of the Eurasian Empire launched their long-awaited attack on ships and aircraft of the CoC. The Imperial aircraft carrier Veres launched all 60 aircraft in an attack on the CoC task force. The CoC launched an air attack of its own from land-based aircraft which included B70 bombers and F-35 fighters. The Imperial aircraft reached their target first and 2 squadrons of Su-25 attack aircraft launched missiles at the CoC ships. CoC counter-measures and CIWS destroyed many missiles, but several got through striking a destroyer and a cruiser. The CoC destroyer would sink several hours later, but the cruiser is able to move under its own power.

As the attack on the CoC ships was developing, the CoC aircraft arrived and engaged them in a swirling dogfight. Several F-35s were lost, but they claimed many of the Imperial aircraft, and missiles from the CoC ships claimed many more. As the dogfight raged, the CoC B-70s struck the Imperial ships launching a broadside of anti-ship missiles, with many getting through the anti-missile defenses and striking both ships. The Imperial destroyer rolled over and sunk within minutes and the Veres was engulfed in flames.

As dawn breaks over the Black Sea, the Veres is still afloat, though burning furiously and dead in the water

Lviv West Ukraine
CC-17s and CC-130s from 8th Wing Trenton are making round the clock flights from New Canada to Lviv delivering replacement troops and supplies to that city’s airport to where they will be hauled by trucks to Cherkasy, for processing by representatives from the Department of Logistics.

Replacement troops once they arrive will wait at in line at the sorting area for a rep from the Department to call the trooper up to the front deck and ask him to sign a form that will determine which unit and position that the trooper will be assigned to. After which it’s added into the regiments computer database for archiving.
