Piggybacking off Pete's Cold War infantry thread - I would like to see GHQ do a better job of selecting the contents of infantry blisters when they release new Cold War infantry.
Currently most infantry packs don't include the all the weapons typically found in an infantry platoon, no light machine guns or light anti tank weapons such as Dragons or Milans.
Most packs currently consist of 6-7 strips of riflemen, 1 strip of Officers/NCOs and occasionally a strip of RPG gunners or spotters. I recommend substituting a strip of light machine guns and light AT weapons for one of the strips of riflemen.
Yeah, the support weapons are in the heavy weapons packs but you typically need to buy 2 or more weapons packs just to get enough LMGs/ATGMs and then you end up with enough AGS 17s to equip a Motor Rifle Division!
The competition is much better at putting all the weapons found in an infantry platoon in their basic infantry packs.

2019 - 2020 Wish List
Hi Cav Dog
That actually sounds like a good suggestion for the Modern Infantry packs. It is true that sometimes you need more of 1 type of figure and have too many of some of the others.
Do you have any particular Cold War infantry you would like to see from my original list or does it all look good so far?
Thanks!
Pete

Hi Pete,
I think the list is good except I would add Korean War US Heavy Weapons with M1919 machine guns, 3.5" bazookas, 81mm mortars and 57/75mm recoilless rifles, as well as Chinese and N. Korean infantry and heavy weapons.
I would prioritize them as follows:
1. 67-73 Arab/Israelis (tie)
3. Korean War US
4. Korean War Chinese
5. Korean War N. Koreans
6. W. Germans
7. US Europe
8. SADF
9. Rekitted Soviets
10. E. Germans
11. The rest of NATO

Tactics are the opinion of the senior officer present.
