Thanks, gentlemen.

I had - at last - a game of NIMITZ last week end, in preparation for my Java 42 campaign (to familiarize my opponents with the rules & the ships used in the campaign, that is
). Also, i tried my game mat, a welcome change from my old painted boards. Long Lances running wild
, this made a fairly short game, but after all the purpose was to learn. Guess I'll be stuck with the ABDA, though we still have another familiarization game before we go. Report on my blog.

Re: foxbat's stuff. last update 10/23/2025 Game report
That's a great AAR on the battle, Foxbat! And beautiful ships! The mat looks really great too.
I'm looking forward to seeing a report from the next familiarization game!

Thanks, gentlemen. Happy to see the boards are running again!
USS Ess.ex, in her Philippines Sea livery. That was not easy, as I had to do it twice. The 1st time it was done, the matte seal ruined the paint job. My mistake, I'm afraid. So, acetone dipping, rebuilding, repainting, buying & applying new decals... I even had a few planes left on a sprue to add to the flight deck.

That's a beautiful ship, Foxbat! The aircraft on the flight deck look fantastic! My grandfather served on the Essx during the Korean War so I have a fondness for that particular carrier.
I will definitely be following your new blog!

Thanks, gentlemen.
I've added a new page to my blog about the French Navy in WW2
https://foxbatnaval.overblog.fr/2025/12 ... -navy.html
Also, here are some additions to my Italian fleet (I love these barber stripes, thanks to GHQ for making painting them so easy!
)
Doing a theme I enjoy a lot, a heavy cruiser under escort. This time, Pola with some Turbine class DDs

Pola herself

Hi back, long time no sea!
A happy new year, health and prosperity to all of you GHQ fans!

Let's celebrate with some ship pics. USS Maryland, in MS21 pattern. It looks like she went throughout the war in this livery, especially at Surigao Strait. I'm not sure there was a thunderstorm that night, but I liked that background.

Also, some people may find my tutorial on labels useful. Actually it is noyt very much, but that is how I proceed.

And thankfully, the webshop was working during Black Friday. I'm afraid I took advantage...
