Thanks Regia. That’s one of the reasons I decided to start posting, add some diversity to the forum. I’d like to see some other peoples ACW or Napoleonic work, so post em if you got em!! I have 7 work days left before I’m officially retired, so once I have some more free time, maybe I’ll fight a small fictional ACW battle and post some photos.

So here is HMS Ledbury, I got her as close as I could, based off of the two photos I posted in the other thread. They were clearly taken at two different times, but as far as I could tell from a partial third photo, the camouflage scheme for the port side would have been the same. I had to take a SWAG at the colors, and I partly based it on a plate of HMS Avon Vale, L06, in her 1942 scheme which was pretty close to the photos of Ledbury. The light grey is a close mix for 507c, 3:1 mix of foundation white/light grey, and the blue is 1941 blue, I use Prussian Blue. I guess you could also use it for PB10. Maybe Intermediate Blue would have been a better choice for the 1941 blue. The deck is a rough approximate to MS1, I used Luftwaffe Uniform Blue.

That's fantastic Bill! Your work really blows my mind! Do you mount your minis when you paint them to hold them steady? I have trouble keeping my brush that stable when I paint these things!

Thanks a lot Red. Yes, I do mount the minis to various size nails, depending on the size of the model, with a small drop of Elmers, that way when I finish painting and give it a light clear coat, I can pop the model right off with my finger nail and presto, its ready to go on a base.
I get quite shaky too, but there are ways to fight that. Model builders have been coming up with work arounds for a long time. My way is to rest my whole left arm across the desk, with my had also resting on the desk, and holding the nail in my fingers. I rest my brush hand on the edge of the desk, so that I'm basically painting only a few inches from the surface of the desk, but this almost totally negates how much my hands shake unwontedly. And having an adjustable chair keeps me from having to lean forward to see. If I had a third hand to operate my camera, I could take a picture of the way I rest my hands on each other while I'm painting.

Nice set up. Appreciate the pictures to show you layout and tools.
However, the Escort carrier, the infantry and the auto are all different scales. Just be aware when you play a game that there is a compatibility issue. Take care.
