I am very please to announce that 1st Squadron HHT is finally finished. It took me forever to get this troop ready, but it's finally ready for prime time!

Call sign Chuckwagon. HHT has 20 tracks, 76 wheels, and 22 trailers. Tracks and HEMTTs are all GHQ. Other trucks and HMMWVs are a mix of GHQ and CinC. Trailers are printed. I don't like the CinC trucks so I would like to replace them someday. I do like the CinC HMMWVs, or rather the different HMMWV configurations. I don't see a difference in HMMWV quality between the two manufacturers, but I prefer the soft top 4-seater (M998) and the high back cargo (M1097) HMMWV configurations.

Now that the whole squadron is complete I may have to do a squadron photo if I can get an hour or so to lay everything out on the kitchen counter!

Oh, that's IMPRESSIVE! More than a few shekels invested in assembling that fleet of support vehicles, too. I admire your dedication and discipline, as well as just doing all that painting!

Now, you are going to have to upgrade your M88s to A2s and your deuce-and-a-halfs to later models...LOL! (Just kidding).

It's time to buy a used ping pong table from FB Marketplace to set up for your motor pool. That's certainly MY intention, once I clear away enough debris to make room for it!

Thanks Fellas!

It's funny that you mention the upgrades, PG, because at one point I intended to upgrade the FIST-Vs to BFIST and upgrade the sapper company from M113s to Brads. But then I thought I might as well upgrade the trucks to M1078s and the Bradleys to M2A3 and the tanks to M1A2, but at that point I would have a whole new regiment!

Yes, you WOULD! WHAT A GREAT PLAN!

That's what happens to me! New M1 model? I need a company. It arrives. Now look, I can't have just a company. Ya can't DO anything with just a company. I gotta have a battalion! Hey, it needs to be balanced by a mech battalion. Well, A brigade needs THREE battalions, at least. Tank or mech? CAB? Armor or mech heavy? That brigade needs artillery support - get a gun battalion. How about engineers? Yup. And a new division begins, month by month, sometimes year by year. And what do you do with the few leftover pieces. You just KNOW they will demand a full unit. Well, how many do I need to finish a company? Oh, I have an orphan company. Gotta build him a battalion. GHQ has SO MUCH of my MONEY!

The great thing about it all is the fun you'll have explaining the evolution of the TOE and vehicles to your grandchildren! And THEY will go RIGHT TO SLEEP!

Quantity and quality, excellent work. I really like your tanker & flatbed trucks, especially the way you did the windscreens, with the subtle reflection effect. :)
