Tips when registering for your forum account

We seem to have several complaints about new members having trouble posting... Not MANY, but we NEED POSTERS to keep the forum going.

I registered back in December, visit about every day , have had some pm's with Chrisswim , otherwise still waiting on a moderator to approve my posts and actually get to use this forum......

I'm experiencing a similar problem, in terms of getting posts approved. I was looking through profile stuff, and I think I may have found part of the problem there. I noticed that under the Usergroups tab, in the Membership section, I'm shown as a member of both Newly registered users and Registered users. My hunch is that despite having both memberships, the Newly registered users membership is overriding the regular status, and keeping my posts locked for administrative review.
