Right now my 1/2400 shopping list totals $49,815.95, but this includes other manufacturers (for ships that GHQ does not [yet] make) and civilian types.

Right now, my largest planned expenditure for a single ship type from GHQ is $1094.50 for 110 more of USS Montrose (APA-212) - USN81.

You are correct, I should have said the US 'fleet' rather than the USN.
Dare I ask how much you've already spent, and how many ships you have no representation (purchased or available) for yet? :-)
Asking GHQ to properly identify USN10 as "DD Gridley Class" since 1/7/2010

To date, I have spent about $14000 on 1/2400 ships - about $9000 of this with GHQ and the rest with CinC, Alnavco, Viking Forge, and Panzerschiffe.

I have at least one of many models that I want and is available; there are many large classes of ships for which I need to fill in the numbers and some (mostly civil types from SeaBattle and pre-Dreadnought types) that I have not yet purchased at all.

As for those that are not available, check the Comprehensive Micronaut Wish List thread (most recent posting on 2010-05-22. I need to get working on this again. Next intended list is early cold-war destroyer and fast escort types.)
