US pontoons

Post by pibber »

Hi guys !
Sure, I'd love to have the photo of the models contained in this CC too, but I think it's a little exciting to wait for the photo. (as long as I don't wait too long, of course ... )
For my part, I "cracked" before having the picture on the website : I've already ordered this pack few days ago. :D So, if the content pleases me, I'll buy others CC the following months to form a complete pontoons unit (I play 1: 1). :)
As we are dealing with a reputable company that considers the wishes of some customers like us, maybe, we tend to be a little too demanding.

To my point of view, I know GHQ has a lot of work, so I stay comprehensive to them and I can wait quietly because I'm so happy to have a company which can give us great figures of this quality and current relational quality with its customers  (It is rare in this business !)

Last point : I think the advantage of these exchanges on this thread is to show that there's a real interest in the subject of engineers models : a likelyhood expectation. This is a good test and good news for GHQ...
(maybe for next years GHQ will make a german WWII CC heavy engineer bridge or russian or UK engineer bridge if the US engineers CC is a great sale :P )

Agree with Camma cut them a little slack I have never been disapointed by any model I have ever bought from them ..I can't say the same for any other manufacture except one...Mike

I agree, they deserve a break. They are producing a new release (on average) every week. They tell us a year in advance what their schedule is going to be and have a 95+% success rate in hitting their forecast dates. Crazy good service and products.

That being said, I would be fine if GHQ communicated that the release is going to be a 3 weeks or a month late (or whatever length of delay) instead of saying nothing. Of course they may be concerned about an emotional reaction to that news from some of us!

I have also ordered one of these sets and will get a couple more after I see it in person (or even a photo).

I am not an expert on this particular subject - but it looks great to me. One already on order, a couple more to follow shortly. Thanks GHQ!

So the 5 trucks are 1 x C666 and 4 x B666.

I am wrong or the description has been changed adding one pontoon? Now it says 11 pontoons, before there were 10.

No questio of qualkity of the model (as ususal) with GHQ) but I would have liked to get a couple of truck loads for the B666 instead of an additional pontonn.

Can't we just use the included decking and pontoons to create our own load?

No. The pontoon were transprted rolled up <(not inflated) besides the saddle is separate. The onlyparts that can be used as a load are the treadways (4 per truck) but not tyhe treadway ends that were carried on 2 1/2 ton trucks together with trest5les and reserve pontoons.
