The ROD is adamant that it does not want to be dragged into a costly guerrilla war. We only reluctantly deployed an infantry battalion to the can*al zone because our goal always has been, and continues to be, ensuring that the Panama Can*al stays open to international traffic.

Having said that, we do wish to support our allies when they need help, and we do want to kill terrorists whenever we can.

The ROD is therefor willing to allocate combat aircraft from the carrier Armageddon to support Canadian ground forces operating along the Brazilian/Venezuelan border. A-6E and F/A-18C aircraft have sufficient range to cover most of the border region from the Armageddon’s operating area in the Pacific. We have been cultivating a relationship with the Colombian government and they have agreed to let ROD aircraft fly through their airspace.

Aircraft can perform both close air support and air interdiction missions. The ROD will deploy a liaison team to the Canadian command post to coordinate ROD air operations with Canadian and Venezuelan forces. ROD aircraft will, of course, remain under ROD command at all times.

In addition to air support, the ROD can deploy a 12-man special operations team to operate in the area if Canada and Brazil agree that the team will operate under ROD command. The ROD air operations liaison team can coordinate their activities as well.

[GM’s Note: We are getting involved with the stipulation that activity directly affecting ROD units is communicated and approved by me. I’m not an expert and the ROD is not invincible, but I do take some small degree of pride in my technical and tactical competence, and I do roll dice for combat actions. So if you intend to shoot my planes down or ambush my operators I want to be able to roll some dice for them.]

OK send in your liaison team, but please be advised there is some heavy smoke in the from the vast forest fire on the Venezuelan side of the border after fighters from our carrier HMCS Canada initiated a Napalm Barrage hoping to drive the AL-Kabab out of the area for good.

Not sure how I missed this last message, but that is a no-go. ROD forces will never be placed under the command of the Canadian military, especially in light of the incompetence that they have demonstrated recently. All ROD forces have withdrawn to Panama or ROD ship offshore.

Apparently, the Canadian forces commander was a political appointee and should be relieved immediately. Jeez, get a senior MILITARY-trained senior officer in there. The Canadian forces were always well trained before you guys started mucking around up there with all your "independent" little "states." Canadian forces may have been small, but competence was never a question. Call some captain out of retirement or political imprisonment, for Pete's sake. Don't beg. Even a trained captain from the former CF should be able to better. This is painful to watch.

ROD forces are responding to the 6.1 magnitude earthquake that struck Costa Rica tonight. Carrier Battle Group 8 is dispatching several ships to evaluate the damage and provide humanitarian assistance if needed. The 15th Infantry Battalion in Panama is assessing their area of operations to see if assistance is needed there.

The Canadian Government is flying Delegates to the ROD, the hope is to once again reestablish relations with the island nation.

The ROD is not interested in reestablishing relations with Canada. This is not high school - we are not interested in on again off again friendships.

Mahishmati is not a breakaway kingdom and India is not growing weary of anything. The ROD Navy's presence brings stability to a region where the Eurasian Empire recently started a war and where China continues to be a threat to India.

Please stop trying to create drama where none exists.
