what is the length of the 3d model?

My ruler isn't super accurate being limited to 0.5mm measurements (well in metric). As such it's between 10.5 and 11mm long. Maybe somewhere around 10.7mm.

The ruler also has 1/64th of an inch markings by which I make it to be approx 27/64 inches. Which is about 10.71mm.

I should stress that these are incredibly rough measurements but if accurate would give a real vehicle length of 10.7(1) x 300 = 3.21m

3.17m would be approx 10.566mm (@ 1/300th) so if my measurements are accurate (doubtful) then it's 0.14mm too long - I can live with that.

I'll take a photo of one with the ruler next to it tomorrow. Well later today

So basically 99% accurate to 1/300 scale. That's as good as it gets.

It's certainly good enough for me. Let's face it, we don't exactly apply paint to the models in scale thicknesses do we?

I've finished the last of the Jordanian Centurions (unless I replace these Scotia ones with the newer model from H&R) and the Italian tankettes. Although I've already got some H&R tankettes, I'll be replacing them with these newer 3d printed ones from Scotia. I need to be a bit more careful with the resin stuff as I broke a little of the track of one when removing it from it's matchstick - it glued back on without too much trouble so it wasn't the end of the world.

Given that I've just finished the last of the Jordanian Centurions, here's the current state of the Jordanian army. Plus a few Panzer IIIs at the bottom.

Jordanians - Assorted
A recce company in Saladins, Saracens, and Ferrets, A Company of H&Rs Centurion Mk.V, and some of the old H&R (formerly Skytrex) M-47s

A battalion's worth plus the ones from the Brigade HQ. Although I've managed to cut off most of the BHQ and Bgde HQ - although the corresponding M48s are peeking their noses into frame.

I still need to get the actual infantry figures. Once I decide what I'm using.


As mentioned above, I still need to get the actual infantry figures as well as artillery and AA. I think I bought some M42 Dusters and some 25pdrs for them - I just need to find them. Ideally I also need some M44 and M52 SPGs. 40mm Bofors and 155mm Long Toms are options too.

The Jordanian stuff is a combination of Scotia and H&R models; the Panzer IIIs are H&R; paints by Vallejo, Humbrol, and Games Workshop; decals by Flight Deck Decals.

Lookin' good, Gazza! At some point in the future, I will be adding a few integral Panzer IVs to my 2 Panzer III companies for the Kursk time frame. The organizational chart that you provided for April 1943 has been very helpful in determining what vehicles were in what platoon.

Two-thirds of the Jordanian 25pdrs have been based - just six more (the one's that were the most squashed during a house move) to go. The PaK 43s here were also damaged in the house move. Some just needed their guns straightened whilst others needed replacement guns. They're now in the process of being repainted.

After posting that photo of the modern Typhoon in WWII markings I recently found this page (when looking for more images). The decals themselves are, obviously, far too large but the illustrations do show the camo scheme from all sides. Not sure I like how the 'invasion stripes' look with the delta wings.

Whilst looking for something else, I found the Jordanian Centurions (3) and Centurion turrets (8) that I thought I'd lost during one of the house moves. They were on top of a cardboard box that was the bottom box of a stack of three as well as an old drawer full of 'stuff''. I really should have a proper sort out and get rid of lot of 'stuff that will come in handy one day'.

The boxes were full of books (mostly novels) but in one of the boxes were most of my Squadron/Signal books - Panzer Colors 3 and a few others must be elsewhere. Here's a quick snap of their spines.

I have also found things I thought I had lost while looking for other things. Of course, if I throw out things that I thought I needed before but don't need them now, you can sure bet I will definitely need them later. LOL!

Last night I finished a battalion of T-34/76Bs. Here are a few photos.

I then popped them off their cocktail sticks and put them in their correct storage compartment. Whilst the initial photos seem to suggest that I did one company with arrows and another company with writing on the hull, in fact, the models were mixed up. This means that each of the three companies has a mixture of the markings.

One thing to note is that this is the first unit that I used Ammo by Mig's 4BO Russian Green. I then gave them a wash of Agrax Earthshade followed by a heavy drybrush of the 4BO Green and a lighter drybrush of Vallejo Khaki to pick out the edges.
