Hey doug!
I did some research over on the missing-lynx forum, which an excellent source for info. Since I use almost exclusively vallejo I searched for the best match. What I found was described as a "perfect" match for SCC15. 092 olive grey + 094 Russian uniform at a 1:1 ratio. That will give you the "correct" color at a 1/1 scale, so I then added 154 sky grey at a 1:4 ratio (1 grey to 4 green) for scale. The color was then airbrushed on the tanks.

The inscription at the wall reads something like "PIss Off!" (due to my trusted coworker  )

(P.S. I´m aware that the three cars were never together at the same spot, it´s just for fun)

There has been a lot of really great stuff posted here lately.

Ferret - I really like the shading and highlighting on your Mamba and the Ratels. Really nice work.

KILLroy - It is great to see some of the 10mm Civil War painted and posted. Thanks for sharing.

Peter Fitz - Your Sig 33's are very well done. I like the shading and highligting on those. German Panzer Gray is a difficult color to get right but these look great.

DogSmack - Really excellent work on the Tigers. I used to airbrush the camo on my 1/285th models but I have taken to doing my camo by hand these days. It gives me more control over where the pattern goes and if done correctly, actually looks better than my airbrush paint jobs. I do use my airbrush for the base color, however.

Redram - That is a great little diorama. One of my suggestions to GHQ some time back was to do a Rommel's Headquarters Combat Command which would include these vehicles as well as some others and maybe even a Storch. Perhaps a Rommel figure and some staff officers as well.

Those ships look fantastic. Colors and dry brushing really bring out the details.

Thanks guys!

@Cama, it's a photo of water printed on white paper :D

@Paul, no dry brushing actually... it's all brush painted highlights. Although Dry brushing would have been better with as long as it took :o

It looks fabulous. I really get the feel for the depth of the ship.

Photo Fun

Post by AllenRockwell »

I do not have any other gamers around where I live so sometimes I just like to get out some miniatures and combine my love for Micro Armor with my love for photography and just have a little photo shoot. Here’s today’s effort.

Killroy thanks for sharing your ACW figures, good job.

Awesome Isrealis Pat, Boy those Namer look interesting and tough.

What great diorama shots Allen. That patriot battery is impressive.
