Thanks very much, Cama!

The T-34 in all its configurations is one of my favorite WWII tanks and GHQ's models are superb. I really enjoyed painting mine as well.

Currently, Microscale Industries makes 3 sheets of 1/285th scale decals.

1. German crosses and tactical numbers. The numbers are sort of large but do well to represent some of the larger versions of German tactical numbers. The decal sheet comes with red, white, and black tactical numbers plus the white and black outline only as well.
The problem with the tactical numbers is that they do not really represent any standard tactical numbering that I have seen. Some examples are 289, 890, 638 etc. rather than 111, 223, 322 etc for the more common ones. If you want to have cohesive numbers then you will have to do some cutting and pasting in order to get the proper sequences you need. I used one or two of these on some Wehrmacht '47 vehicles in the catalog.
In addition, there is a selection of crosses. I have used the open white outline ones for some early German vehicles but now use I-94 for the standard German vehicle crosses.
As a bonus, there are some aerial recognition flags included on the sheet as well.

2. American Stars. This sheet provides a variety of American stars in a variety of sizes with open and closed circles surrounding the star in addition to the plain star.

3. Russian Slogans, Numbers, and Stars. I have already mentioned the slogans. There are actually about 6 different slogans on the sheet with a duplicate of each. The slogans come in white, red, and yellow with 24 of each color so you can do 12 different vehicles off 1 sheet. I will say again that some of these are a bit large for T-34's.
There are also a variety of solid red stars and some stars that are red outline only on the sheet. These come in a variety of sizes.
Finally, there are also Russian tactical numbers as well. These come in white, red, and yellow as well but have no particular numbering sequence like the German numbers. The red and yellow numbers are done in Russian style script but the white numbers are done in a more "German" style. I used one of the white tactical numbers on the SU-122 in the catalog.

My overall assessment is that these are pretty good and can be used by themselves or as a supplement to what is now out there. These decals were done in the 1980's I believe so are done in the technology of that time.
It would be great to see Microscale update these with today's decal technology and offer the tactical numbers with real number sequences.

Hi all

I haven't painted much 6mm stuff lately apart from Napoleonic but I got time to finish off some WW2 aircraft. I knocked off a couple of the lovely GHQ Typhoons painted in late 44 colours

I've started added some of the new GHQ models to my site. Among them, the excellent VBR, the BMP-3 (ok, not that new...) and the T-55AM. Others are on the site, with more to follow in the coming weeks (along with tons of non-GHQ stuff).

Very, very nice work on the Russki vehicles! You've inspired me to start on my own stuff.

Nice Blenheims. Who makes those?

I've got some from Museum Minis and they look similar - are they from them?

yes they are from museum miniatures. Nice planes there just wish they had a bigger selection. I will say their selection of Italian planes is nice.

I got some Museum Miniatures planes and whilst they are well cast their scale is a bit off.

I measured some planes and they were 1/250 scale and considerably larger than the same planes from other manufacturers.

So mixing planes looks a bit weird.

I found the same things with their models when I ordered their range of Italian models. Good models beyond that, though could use more cockpit detail.
