The German Army protyped and deployed Puma AIFV a few years ago.
1. How many wheels on track where there for the initial Pumas. What is the difference to those coming on-line now? Why?
2. Caliber of the main gun?

Already discussed this with you on phone, so I recuse myself.

Five.

The cool thing about the Puma is they can go back to 5 or increase to 7, and/or slap a number of different turrets on them including, but not limited to a Leo IA4 or a LEO II or the two barrel AMOS mortar and with the available engine power, still have high mobility and acceleration.

Mr. Robel,
Correct, started with 5, then add another one one each side.
Mike, if they add another so it would be 7, would they lengthen the hull or redesign undercarriage?

They lengthen the hull to go to seven and shorten it to go back to five. We could do the same thing with the M113. Australia and Turkey and some other places did, as well as GHQ. :?

General Washington is the highest ranking general of all time even though he was a Major General. John Adams had Washington promoted to Lt. General. On July 4, 1976, he was promoted to General of the Armies, theoretically with 6 stars. As without Washington, there might not be a celebration of the 4th of July, Independence Day. So no one should out rank Washington.

That wasn't part of the original question.

It was sunk by U47, commanded by Gunther Prien, who was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross He became a celebrity in Germany. A total of four of his torpedoes struck home from three salvos fired. Several others missed.

The naval anchorage at Scape Flow was considered secure against submarines, but Prien was able to penetrate the nets and other defenses.

The captain of HMS Royal Oak was William Benn, who survivd. An admiral on board did not. 835 British seamen died in the incident.

The loss of Royal Oak was a significant public relations triumph for the Germans, but not a significant loss of an asset for the Royal Navy, as several design flaws prevented its meaningful contribution to the war effort.

Anything else on this subject?
