Thanks guy! Hope that helps and you are welcome. See if we can get this forum to come alive.RedLeif wrote:@ PolishGI - awesome terrain pics, thanks for the details on your damage markers. Very cool!
ACWBill, good pics! Photobucket was struggling to bring the album up but when it did, they look great! I even like the Pacific island landing. You don’t see that very often.ACWBill wrote:I posted this on the 6mm Facebook page, but having not posted here in many months, I thought I would do so today. I have had these trailers for some time, but just got around to painting and basing them last weekend.

Some more WIP pics to keep things moving…
Sturm Tiger. I need to figure out how to sneak one of these on the tabletop to play and shoot.

PzKw V Panther

So I wanted to try something out and give it a go. If it worked out, I will update all of my ATG/How stands because of the increased level of detail. I found some tube styrene small enough to come close to scale size. I do not know the exact measurement but they are small enough to become solid instead of a hollow tube. Measured each piece out to 3/16 of an inch and cut them. Then the fun started with painted the tube gold to simulate the casing along with the black end to try and depict the spent round.

Drying still…

Thanks guys!RedLeif wrote:Your 88's look great, the sturm tiger too. Have you bought any indivdual crew figures yet?
Interesting you ask that… not yet. I am trying to figure out a way to solve that problem. I need the crew on a different stand in case they leave/flee the weapon in battle. Do the shell casings stay with the weapon or the crew? Thinking weapon. They need to be two independent stands for the game. I have a few crew stands here and there from what I received from purchasing Hvy Weapon packs or other ATG/Howitzer weapons… Need to look into the individual guys and come up with a game plan.

Thanks wemcneal!wemcneal wrote:ACWBill, the new German trailers look great, especially in your scenery (which is always fun to see).
PolishGI, your spent casings turned out really well!
I really enjoy seeing all the novel techniques folks come up with. A guy could learn something here if he's not careful...
Spent some time today airbrushing along with sealing up some models and decals.

Dunkelgelb 1943 (acrylic) sprayed

Pz IIIs sprayed as well. T-34s shot with an acrylic Russian armor green lightened a bit with flat white

I have more pics in my build thread. (link below)
