My vote would go to 70's era Soviet Heavy Infantry weapons
could really use some of these for Arab-Israeli wars and 3rd world forces:
"Sagger ATGMs
SPG 9 Tripod mounted recoilless rifles
SA - 7/14 SAMs
RPD/RPK machine guns
Appropriate crews, radio men, spotters and leader"
it appears this crowd really wants pewter stowage stuff. So far by my tally its got about 4 solid votes, next up would be the BV-206 and Sov cold war hvy wpns.
after looking at this list I can see why GHQ hasn't done this before, there is so little consensus. Almost every voter has another good idea.
Thanks GHQ!

I think this thread is working great. Everyone is going to have their own personal favorites or wants. Once its out there, people can think about about what others posted and possibly decided to change there mind.
For me, this has been very helpful, I've got suggestions on how to kit bash to get what I wanted just by putting out my choices. In another case, I changed my decision from something "I wanted" to something others have suggested that I also would be nice.
The only tweak I might suggest is to put a time limit on submitting a potential new model and then have some one put a list together of the top few. Then people could spend a little bit of time lobbying for one vehicle or another. I mean, honestly, I have to imagine this is how it works inside GHQ when they decided on the following years product list. Just simpler for them because they have a small staff. The Forum will seem more chaotic because there is just more voices.
Just my thoughts.

When does voting close? I like a single vote, deadline, publish list of votes, and then a second vote to push in one direction or another (so you could alter a vote given cooler suggestions). It would drag things out but add another layer of drama. Plus my vote could be bought for some terrainmaker hexes ... just kidding!!!

Av8rmongo,
re bulk purchase... If you have M60 (original round turret, not the A1 or A3), or M60A2s,,, and is 60 vehicles "bulk?" I would be interested.
Redlief, nice work. Thank you.
I'm hoping the nominations will not only result in a production model from the majority, but instill some ideas in the GHQ staff for other models.
Hoth_902, I'm willing to trade the older M551s that I have for the new ones with MG baskets. Contact me by PM if this works.
Hoth, you might also consider modeling rivets, bolts, etc and making your own cupolas. I think you can obtain 'em at a good hobby store.

I withdraw my nomination of the M48A1 with fuel rack.
Nominated instead is the new US Army Armored Multipurpose Vehicle, a derivative of the M2 Bradley.

Just floating this one any interest out there in a Leopard 2 AEV?
ie Kodiak AEV3.
It is on my to do list for a kitbash but would never be as nice as a GHQ.
Chriswim, yes there is a 1/300 Bv206 out there and a Bv206S (armoured) too.
I have 20 or so of the much older Bv202 from the same company. They fit the job but if there is a GHQ option I would take it. If not I need several dozen from the UK.
Your choice of the Patria AMV is high on my list as well and I am open to debate as to which would be more viable as a commercial release.
The add on cargo, stowage packs is something I had not contemplated but I see there is support for this and it could be a money maker for GHQ.
I am still holding for a Bv206.
Used by USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Israel, Germany, Finland, France, Norway, Brazil, the Baltics, Spain, S.korea and many many more.
Sweden has over 4,000........
We need more debate here folks to shorten the list a little.
Convince me!

I will lobby for stowage, wheels and tracks etc. I think we all can agree the reason we love GHQ's models is because of the detail. The ability to add more detail to our various models would have broad attraction. Adding unique detail also helps (from a few feet up off the table) to distinguish particular units. Selfishly, I like the fact that these could potentially be used across the modern and World War II genres. Plus, depending on how generic, they could be used by all sides.

Maybe, if we are lucky, GHQ will see the value in the external storage and make those in addition to a vehicle/infantry choice... Mahaa haa...
Panzergator, I have no sheridans to offer in trade..
I was hoping to purchase them in the future.. Due to my tiny house living, the finance minister has suspended all near term purchases till we get out of the cracker box we currently call home.. Also, thanks for the info on how to set up the units. I will be copying it and using it in the future. The armored calvary unit I am working on is currently one using Bradleys as seen in Tom Clancy's Armored Calvary Unit.

I just want to say, I think this thread is a success and lots of fun. Thank you GHQ for putting this together and looking toward the members to provide suggestion on next years list. At least for me, Its given some good research data and suggestion on some kit bashing I can do. This way I can get what I want without GHQ wasting a slot on there list for something that is easily made.
A special thanks to Fireball for kick starting this in his thread "Fireballs Address".
