Maybe not all of your stuff should go into archive. User created player's aides are common. As long as you don't distribute the actual rules, I suspect that posting or distributing something similar might not only be acceptable, but considered an asset by the publishers.

Hey Gang

I just put in my hotel reservations for Historicon. I plan to attend again this year. I'm just curious as to those here on the forum that will be there. Let me know so we can meet.
I'm heading out of town for a bit starting tomorrow but I'm looking at running a micro armor game in early July and will try to see if I can get some new blood into micro armor and GHQ.

Had planned a Gettysburg/Lancaster trip with the "Boss" (wife) in time for Historicon, but "real life" issues intervene again. So, it's wait 'til next year. Unfortunately, I won't be making the New Orleans based Bayou Wars either. :( This year, it is being held in Vicksburg, MS. Here's the link for info.

For all who go to either, enjoy! :D

Growing the Hobby

Post by pmskaar »

Hey Gang

I have been out of town for the last 3 weeks for business and just returned from a short trip to California yesterday(Saturday). Thanks for saving the post Atiff.
I will be doing some painting this week to get some more stuff ready. One of the small frustrations I have in my line of work is that I go away from home for 2 to 3 weeks at a time in the summer. This has resulted in no gaming since March to speak of and that means not being able to get new gamers into GHQ Micro Armor. While I am doing some painting which advances my own personal interests I'm currently not doing anything to grow the hobby with new or recycled blood so to speak. I do plan to get a game going in August to start things moving again.
One nice advantage I have with my work schedule is that I have the opportunity to go to Historicon each year and sometimes other events if things permit. Have a great day and a happy 4th of July.

Tom

Thanks very much for those kind words. As stated earlier in the post I do try to have as nice of a game as possible when I possible when I do it for my own enjoyment and those of the other participants. One of the reasons I spend the time I do on miniatures is for this reason. If you haven't already been to Thunder's website, he took some great pictures of my "Running the Gauntlet" scenario during a mini-con in Tucson back in January of this year.

Another "ping"... I think this one needs to stay around a little while longer.
