I just finished painting my Italian troops in tropical uniforms. Still working on basing them. That was one time consuming project but I'm looking forward to some action in North Africa!

Nice Harpoon launchers Chris!

Regia-marina, great looking Italians! Love the planes. I cheated on my Italian planes, I picked up some Desktop Diorama examples. Lol

Love the infantry as well!

Thanks PolishGI. I appreciate it. I can't seem to get my camera to focus well enough to show more detail. You had me fooled on your Italian planes and I never would have guessed they were from Desktop Diorama. Keep up the good work. I enjoy the pictures of your projects.

To Reggia Marina and Polish GI

Very nice work on those Italians and British for North Africa. I have a fair number of British vehicles and troops for North Africa already painted but have not gotten to my Italians as of yet.

It is good to see some WWII things here every now and then.

Awesome stuff.

Here is a 2S6 sporting a test camo scheme.

Nice Cav.

I see you went with a hard line camo pattern.

Do any of the modern stuff use a soft line camo pattern these days? Or is everything a hard line now?

Thanks gents.

I think most everybody uses hard edge camo nowadays because most vehicles are painted at the factory.

The color is Russian Modern Green by AK Real Colors RC 089

Hey Hoth, thanks for the comments from a while back and sorry I did not respond! I am a simple painter (acrylics) with not a lot of time - so I always base with white (Vallejo surface primer 70.600) which is runny and thin and the way I like it. I then paint the entire model with Vallejo Yellow Ochre (70.913). I use two washes - first Citadel's Agrax Earthshade and then Citadel's Nuln Oil (light wash - just dab this in specific places). Dry brush, detail (I like Vallejo's Panzer Aces Dark Rubber 306) and then off to dullcoat!

Great Italians you guys - I love them!! The basing is very cool too. And I especially have a thing for Italian aircraft - they look pretty sleek and you painted them well! I have a bunch of Italian infantry that need painting but I have a lot of excuses (other GHQ packs) not to do the, one of these days I will just close my eyes and go for it!

Looking forward to this month's Fiat release and hoping CG's lists of votes (with the Italians leading in WW2 category) gets noticed by GHQ!
