Thank you PolishGI!

Those M113s are by CnC, now with Legions for Hire. The gunner comes molded with the MG as a piece that is glued into a recess in the hull.

OK Polish, those British Desert troops and tanks are nicely done. You've inspired me. I'm going back to the workbench to finish my Italians.

Hop to it! Lol If I am WFH, I am trying to be as productive as I can.

Love the camo pattern Cav Dog! What color did you use on the vehicles (x4) in the lower right corner? Is that like a metallic gun grey? Looks a little reflective. Which is good for a gun barrel.

The guns on the ZSUs are Vallejo Gun Metal Grey mixed about 3:1 with black.

Knew it! Just had the name wrong.. I have a similar color in the Tamiya line I think. Love that color for that sort of thing. I need to try mixing it with black to see what I get. You might be onto something there...

Thanks!

Type 96B

Post by BenfromBrooklyn »

Been doing a little painting! A little thing I noticed, when putting together the Chinese type 96B tank.

The TC's machine gun mount is on the rear of the turret. This is okay, on the real tank the mount is on a ring that swivels around the hatch, and the rear position is the normal "traveling" position.

So, glue the machine gun facing rearwards, the normal traveling position. Do not glue the machine gun facing forwards, or the TC will hit it when he opens the hatch!

With not much to do lately and extra time in my day due to reduction of commute to work and long walk to my desk, I have begun working on my huge mountain of backlogged work. Here are some M777 Howitzers

Great stuff being posted! Hoth those howitzers came out really well. Cav your camo is crazy good, And I enjoyed the discussion on the gun metal gray. I think I will pick up a tube of that as well.

Tom and Ben thanks for showing off your well done stuff. Polish - what about using that 3-D printer for emplacements? I used some molds and they came out OK although they were pretty large and I’m not sure whether I’m in love with them or not.
