Chris that support base is just great, brilliant. Gives me something to set my sights on, building that is.
Then again it is in range.
As I said before your diplomats are all free to leave. They can walk into any embassy in YB City or can cross out of the Country by any border.
Maybe the ROD would work well as a neutral party.
Extra air defence around the city tonight. ZSU-57, ZSU-234, SAM-6 and TOR all over the place. Pics later.
The downed count of CofC drones, helicopters and aircraft lost last night is up to 31 in some of the city bars.
As for any hardships that YB may face it is nothing compared to the cost of lost freedom.
Besides there is a growing black market in trade between the local "Doms" using YB as a hub to avoid the official dom tax.
The YB City pancake and doughnut market are big this time of year.
Happy Hanukah.

This is an Administrative building for processing visitors from YB to the Commonwealth.
It suffered a missile and artillery attack.

Our friends across the border did this hours ago. Good thing it was done at night, no one was there except the cleaning crew, a husband and wife team. They leave behind 5 children that will be wards of West Sahara and the State.

The ocean going dry dock and barge with escort have made the trip in the Atlantic to Nuvuut, Greenland. Working to have dry dock lift once all supports are properly in place.
.
In the Med, a carrier, two cruisers, a few attack submarines, support ships. It appears there may be a follow on destroyer or frigate. The group of ships and submarines has entered the Suez waterway and perhaps the Red Sea. Socotra Naval Air Station is sending out RF-111 aircraft into the Red Sea and loop back. It did detect the ships just entering the Red Sea. Did not detect any submarines, so the expectation is that the subs are ahead of the surface ships. Sending out P-3 Orion aircraft for ASW work.
.
CNNN Wolfe's Liar report, "I am The Wolf, we have information that several staff members have entered an Embassy. We have info that 4 walked into the ROB Embassy compound. They were dropped of by SUV, perhaps by a few young soldiers of YB, but they denied that to the Commonwealth staff members. 3 entered the US Counselors building in Yer Bouti City. They were escorted by some young men armed, but not in uniform.
"Minister, what do we make of those 7 people making it to the two Embassies", asked Wolf?
The reply, "Wolf, we have all people accounted for and all are safe including those 7 people. We expect that they will be able to leave the embassy they are in and Yer Bouti."
Wolf followed up, "How will they get out of Yer Bouti without risk to being captured or hurt?" Reply, Great question, we are not sure at this time. We will work with those governments to determine the best plan. We are appreciative that they made it to those locations for their safety. We are appreciative for all that have helped."

North Korean sent out two destroyers after observing LCS flying the CoC naval flag. The radar operator did detect the two ships leaving port and increased speed to 42 knots to star out of gun range. One was older and closer, billowing black smoke, it did fire a few shots that fell short and to port stern. Radar did pick up. All systems active. With the speed, increasing the distance as the two destroyers are moving about 35 knots. The LCS slowed to match their speed. The North Korean lead destroyer slowed and turned 162 degrees. The larger, newer destroyer fired an anti-ship missile.
. Alarms sounded, ship turned to port. Within 2 minutes the LCS fired RAM (rolling airframe missiles) missile, then another. First exploded behind the incoming threat, the second did two. Fired two more RAM, they exploded almost simultaneously. The incoming AS missile broke apart, flamed and fell into the sea.
The attacking North Korean fired 3 more Anti-ship missiles. The LCS fired 3 Harpoon IV, block 7 at the new pursuing destroyer and two at the older destroyer. The incoming 3 received RAM AA missile, one being hit, another exploded with the 57mm gun or CWIS. the final missile hit the LCS. Catastrophic hit, breaking apart these cheap ships. Later it was determined 32 died and 19 rescued, 4 missing from the LCS.
. The 3 Harpoons after the new destroyer, the Polygong, one was shot down by their AAA system and two hit the ship on starboard side. The 2nd missile hit high, just above the bridge, taking out radar, communications, NAV. second hit between the bow and the bridge, penetrating to the gun magazine. The ship would have survived until the ammo detonated ripping the bow off. the Polygong sank in 10 minutes. 53 survived the sinking, some with injuries.
. The older destroyer is an iron bucket, the IronHouse, detected the incoming missiles. Both missile hit in the stern hull. Flooding in engine compartments with significant loss of life. Bow riding high above the waves. It did lower, but the bow was pointing up. 74 died on the ship. The ship was towed later that day by a tug, taking until early in the morning hours.

In response to a NATO inquiry about the aircraft carriers of the Commonwealth. The Commonwealth have several of the large carriers, that are older, de-commissioned carriers from the US: Enterprise, Forrestal, Saratoga, Kitty Hawk, Midway, America, Kennedy, Ranger and Independence. 4 in dry dock, 1 in shipyard being worked on. They always need maintenance. These big ships do not sortie often. The Commonwealth has used the Ranger, Independence for about 20 years. It may be time to retire those to lower cost and improve operational tempo of the others. Staffing and aircraft is an issue. The Commonwealth gets some planes, fix and upgrade and then those are sold to a customer.

(((on the down-low, private encoded message: To ROD, thank you for your great effort to get those CoC members out of country. Glad you did not fly around to land in Mauritania, West Sahara or Moroccodom. That was an exciting escape. The embassy employees, family and all citizens of the Commonwealth are appreicative.)))

The SSGN George Marshall moved just south of Kyushu Island, Japan, then West by Northwest by about, just 33 km south of the small island of Jeju, South Korea . At depth of 58 feet started firing cruise missiles, first headed in a W by NW route, then north. The first 18 cruise missile headed for the Sunchon Airport military base. 12 of the missiles are cluster sub-munitions hitting the Su-23, Su-7, Mig 29 and several hangers and tanker trucks and fuel tanks. 1 hit the parking lot, which includes the automobiles of the officers and some trucks. 1 hit the wreck auto storage area just west of the airport. 1 hit an old barracks building, it really destroyed it. 2 were targeted to ammo bunkers. One was successfully hit initiating massive explosion. 1 when off course, not sure if it was hit by AAA fire.
SSGN Marshall fired 18 Cruise missiles headed to North Korean Naval Base Haeju near the demarcation line, with 6 hit storage buildings, 3 hit ammo bunkers, 6 hit hangers and a warehouse. One hit a Dacha for Kim Yung Un. Remaining hit a sign and some trees. The Marshall also fired 12 Harpoon anti-ship missiles, 3 hit Najin Frigate with it burning and sinking, 1 missile hit the dock adjacent the Najin. 2 Harpoons is a tender in the harbor, 3 hit a another frigate, 2 hit a dry dock. 1 crashed in the sea prior to making the last change of course into the harbor.
. There were two planes surveying the sea and air space, E-3 Sentry and global Hawk UAV. The Marshall dove after the 12 minute launch sequence. heading just south Kyushu. It will head to rendezvous with a CoC sub-tender.

The Commonwealth did send an SSN attack submarine to wander around North Korea. There are not any orders to attack, patrol, observe, evaluate.

.
The Nigerians that transferred to the CoC Army are doing very well. Some in armor, Mech Inf, etc. The new recruits in the Nigerian army are getting up to speed. First group went through basic, in their schools now.
. Nigeria is sending two Battalions (a brigade) to Mauritania to help with the border. Togo, Benin are each sending a medical unit to Mauritania to assist. Some refugees have left Yer Bouti crossing the border undetected. Many need medical assistance which is putting a strain on the medical assistance available. Nigeria is preparing to send more soldiers if and when needed. The infantry is training extensively for close order drill and house to house fighting. Trucks are moving up the two major highways into western Mauritania. Air and ground patrols are keeping their eyes open for any insurgents.

***Guys, thank you for the kind remarks, appreciate it. ***
---BACK TO WORK---
Inflation is running extremely high in Ethiopia at 80%, civil unrest, run of food and non-durable consumables. Massive build up on durable & industrial materials and products. Riots in the street. Asking for help.
. Of course the Commonwealth is able to help out. Plane loads of food on the way, medical teams. Ethiopia officials will meet the Commonwealth staff at the airports. Train loads will be loaded and sent very quickly. Understand the Commonwealth is not ready to send the food to you within the hour. Wish you had let us know what has been happening.
