(Major Clarkson): "Ok New Plan, Get the remaining Anti-tank platoon to some kind of a Ambush position to hit the tanks from the sides, I hope it's not too late."
(Support Conpany Major): alright get thoses LAWs into ambush positions or somewhere and hurry."
The Anti-Tank Platoon nervously gathers there remaining LAWs and hurries to find a good ambush site for dealing with the tanks.

An officer leader must, at this point, designate the positions for your anti Tank teams so that fire is coordinated and effective. Select the positions so the team's will have time to get there before the tanks.
All blessings flow from a good mission statement.

Good job Canada! Maneuver against those guys…keep them reacting to you. And when you get their tanks and BTRs to stop, call the mortars in on them. Use everything you have!
B Company has moved to the south into some rough ground where they ran into the PAC truck-borne infantry. At first contact the two sides exchanged fire and the trucks stopped to dismount their infantry. The FO team on the ridge was zeroed in on the trucks so as soon as they stopped he directed the 60mm mortars from both A and C companies onto them.
The poorly trained PAC troops panicked. Three trucks sped away, turning north to escape the kill zone. Some infantrymen scattered and others dropped to the ground and rolled under the trucks to avoid the air bursts. 1st Platoon / B Co kept up a withering fire from the front of the truck convoy while the CO moved with 2nd and 3rd Platoons around the southern flank to form an L shaped line. As soon as the mortars fell silent the CO led 2nd and 3rd Platoons in an assault through the PAC position, shooting and stabbing everything in their path. 1st Platoon shifted fire to the north and then ceased firing altogether. After the assault force passed through the position, 1st Platoon move through it checking for anything of intelligence value, writing down radio frequencies, and generally tearing the vehicles apart. Wounded PAC soldiers were dragged away from the vehicles and placed under guard while the ROD medics tended to them.
The trucks that escaped to the north found themselves driving straight into the ROD position on the ridge. One truck was destroyed by a Javelin ATGM and the other two were riddled with machine gun and rifle fire.
A platoon from A Co, mounted in the mortar platoon’s HMMWVs sped of down the highway for 300 meters and then turned north. There are 2 Javelins and 3 M240s in the HMMWVs with the paratroopers. Rampage TOC notifies the Canadian command post that an ROD platoon is crossing the unit boundary and attempting to attack the PAC armor from the rear. Meanwhile, the battalion’s heavy mortars are oriented north, waiting for a fire mission on the PAC armor.

The Anti-Tank Platoon LAW Teams springs up from their ambush site takes a shot at the armor with one of their M72 LAWs, Unfortunately their aim was off, the rocket narrowly missed one the PAC's BTR's and accidentally struck the ROD Humvee carrying the Javelin ATGM Teams instead Killing the crew, Sending it flying the resulting explosion also sent the second Humvee rolling on its side.
(Canadian AT Paratrooper): "Oh SH.."
The PAC's BTRS turned their guns on the Canadian Anti- Tank Platoon, Mowing them down before they can get another LAW ready and forcing them to retreat back to the Canadian lines.
(Major Clarkson): "Anti-Tank Platoon What the Hell happened???"
(AT Paratrooper): "The BTRs got the jump on us Sir, we did get a shot off but...The ROD got in the way of it while trying to maneuver to the rear of the PAC's Armor."
(Major Clarkson): "Damn it, how many LAWs do we have left"?
(AT Paratrooper): "Only 5 left sir the rest where lost to the BTRs guns."
(Major Clarkson): "Danm it, (Picks up radio), "ROD Mortar Team, Fire the mortars anyway, I dont care if the PACs armor is still moving just fire them NOW!!!."
The Remaining AT platoon returns to the Canadian lines. The Tanks are still moving.

You must have hit something else because the range of a LAW is only about 200 meters and we refuse to get that close to you. Since the Javelin has a range of several thousand meters we stop well to the rear to fire our missiles.
Both T-55s are struck in the rear by Javelins and they both brew up. With the tanks both engulfed in flame, the BTRs turn to the north and flee. The HMMWVs turn around and head back to the road block.
The B Co commander is approached by a gray-clad officer who want to talk about cease fire. The B Co commander tells the officer that if the PAC leaves Syria for good they can take their wounded and the ROD will not pursue them and kill them all. He agrees and he takes responsibility for his wounded troops.
The ROD battalion assembles briefly at the roadblock and then they depart for the landing zone. A dirt airstrip on the west side of the DZ is the designated pickup point. The C-130s arrive several hours later and the OD, with all personnel present, load up and fly home.
Rampage to Canada: we're all done here. Go home.

(Major Clarkson): "Airborne, to C-17s pick us up at the airstrip where the ROD hercs are, where going home."
(Canadian Paratrooper #1): "Finally where getting out of this dirt hole of a country."
(Canadian Sergeant): "Yea, But we got badly mulled by the PAC, I can't believe the ROD just let those guys go like that, They will be back here to try again."
(Canadian Paratrooper #2): "Hey at least where lucky we survived this Death Trap."
The Battered remnants of the Canadian Airborne Regiment loads up into the C-17 Globemasters and return to New Canada.

Watch out. They’re looking to have a fight.MechCommander wrote:The Canadian Airbone Regiment would like to say that it was an honor to fight along side with the 15th Battalion in Syria. Even through the regiment did not do well aginest the PAC, the experience they got will benefit the Army. We hope that we will fight along side you again in the future.
