I would love to see many of the items on the list Rutgervanm has so diligently compiled.

However, there were several mentions of US early cold-war APCs M59 and/or M75 that somehow did not make the list. These would be on my short list of buyables.

French
APC AMX-VCI
AMX-13 75/SS-11

Ialso like the added support for aircraft there are outher games that use aircraft of this scale. GHQs additions will be welcome and woll generate more income. So dont discount any aircraft because they were not used for close air support. Also if you do do anouther M-48 Please add a spotlight to the casting.

Thank you GHQ and Please keep up the good work. :D

I'll add my votes for what it's worth:

1) Aussie "Bushmaster" PMV (Protected Mobility Vehicle - was 'IMV' Infantry Mobility Vehicle) now rolled out to more than infantry units, approaching 800 in service, and exported to UK and Netherlands.
2) Chinese Infantry.
3) UK "Jackal" patrol vehicle (Supacat), as used in Afghanistan.
4) USMC weapons teams, including Mk19 and Javelin ATGW.
5) German Infantry
6) German "Weisel" familiy of light AFV.

regards,

bish

I am forwarding this from the Consolidated Micronauts Wish List. Most of these are too small to model in 1/2400 scale.

As I'm into collecting the Chinese PLA (RC) line, just to add my votes for new GHQ Micronauts:

Type 99 ACV
Type 99 MBT (the one GHQ offer is just the prototype Type 90II, for export and limited production)
Type 96 MBT (low end version of Type 99 MBT, > 1500 produced)
ZLC2000 IFV
ZBD97 IFV
WZ752 Armoured Medical Evacuation Vehicle
PTL02 Wheeled Tank Destroyer
PLZ05 155mm Self-Propelled Howitzer
PHL03 300mm Multiple Launch Rocket

J10 Fighter
Zhi-9W Attack Helicopter
Zhi-9 Utility Helicopter

Wouldn't hesitate to place my order if any of the above is available.

Tim

Thanks Don :) . I meant to have them in 1/285 scale but was mistakenly posted under the wrong topic.

Modern Armor wishlist

Post by intruder523 »

Good topic and post Rutger.
ADD MY VOTE FOR THE :
German Leopard IIA5 (Is this the version used by the Dutch and Canadians too ?)

Eurocopter Tiger Attack Helo

US AC A6 Intruder ( my top choice...covers a bunch of possible scenarios)

US SP HI MARS

Brit ARV

Also here are some others for consideration:
BRITISH
Some kind of Heavy Cargo Truck
Modern AVLB
Modern CEV

GERMAN
Modern AVLB

FRENCH
Cesare Mobile Gun System

Something else I have been thinking might be useful would be some TOE's for some of the other countries, not usually as easy to find, included in the newsletters. For example maybe some of the Arab countries in the middle east, Canada, India and Pakistan, etc.
Although I do enjoy looking up to see what countries use the new GHQ releases when they come out.

Leopard 2A5

Post by chrisswim »

GHQ has provide the Leopard 2A5, take the A6, snip off a bit of the barrel.... They look just enough different. If you have a game with olive drab spray paint with A5 & A6 facing each other or on same side and the players are not sure of the figures, there can be some confusion.

to add to my nomination of up-and-coming technologies, the HIMARS (new lighter version of the M270 MLRS) looks like a promising system. Just saw it at the JSOH at andrews and it looks impressive.

Sorry guys, it took me a while to get updated again.

@ Intruder, Canucks use 2A4 and 2A6 and we (Dutch) use only 2A6 nowadays. I think only Denmark and Norway use 2A5. As has been said, its too easy to snip of the barrel of the 2A6, so I cant understand why everyone keeps voting for it. :P

Thanx for the comeback Rutger. On snipping the barrels, isn't there something diferent about the glacis plate on the Dutch Leopards too, I have the two tankograd books on the RNLA and it seems to me I remember them saying something about that in one of those somewhere...but I could be wrong. I have a small unit of NL and Canadian armor in my modern collection. I'll go back and look at those books again. :)

There is more available but at the moment I do not have the time to search for all of it...
