LCS Independence
I am pleased that GHQ is getting back to Modern Naval. I am sure that the model will be very well done. I just wish this particular one wasn't neccessary and that the USN wasn't investing in these gold plated death traps.

I would have preferred the Freedom or San Antonio (LPD), but it is an interesting (but ugly) ship. I have not purchased modern micronauts for years, but now that there are some recent additions I may look at it again. Overall good choices so far this year. Still hoping for a CVE Bogue and new additions to the WWII and modern USA lines

GHQ posted their most recent announcement after I had turned in for the night. I was afraid I would have to go through the entire 3-day holiday weekend without any new releases. Although it's not one of my favorites, its good to see GHQ continuing with modern Micronaut types.
I am a bit disappointed that, producing a model of USS Independence (LCS 2), GHQ did not take the opportunity to put USS Freedom (LCS 1) in the same package. It seems that equal numbers of these competing designs will be produced. The ships are not so large that two items would not fit into a single standard pack.
Given that LCS 2 will be a pack by itself, the next question I would ask is, "Will LCS 1 be produced this year or will GHQ wait and see the response to LCS 2?"

Well, that's now two new models that I didn't know I needed. The T-72 BLT as well as the F-35. as usual, they will be outstandingly rendered which will undoubtedly cause modelers everywhere to build a new airforce centered around such a fine model.
Curse you GHQ, for now the wish list grows ever longer.

F-35 WOW!!!
F-35.... This is a wonderful surprise move. Delighted the read about this one.
Will need to pick up some F-35s, regardless of the model/variant produced.
Which variant of the F-35?
Look forward to it.
I missed the late Saturday Intel Brief.... the LCS Independence. I will need to jump on a few of these, the first modern ships in my navy in years and years.

Releases
Well I am with Don, so far the SMS Radetzky of which I will buy 3 is my only interest, but there are still at least 10 ships to go. I am still hoping for something along the way of the IJN AK Aden Maru, IJN AS/AH Heian Maru / Hikawa Maru, IJN CVE Taiyo or IJN Unryu, USN Hog Islander A or B, C2 or C3, AR USS Vestal, after the great releases of the UKN Otaio, Doxford and Clan Macauley. Maybe we can get another UK carrier hint hint: UKN Indomitable??? Not to mention there are still a lot of Jutland ships still missing. I could go on and on LOL.
All in all Last year was a great year for me, I just hope some of the releases this year hit the sweet spot for me and I will be more than happy!
Keep up the great work GHQ, I landed a job so I am ready to BUY, BUY, BUY!
