Things I'd Like to See in 2017

Post by pmskaar »

Hi Red Leif

I like your WWII selections since they match many of mine, especially the Lloyd and Humber LRC but you have a lot of others including the Type 89 that I would like to see as well.

I would love to see this line added to. Specifically, the French Guard units and skirmish poses as well as supply wagons. Any plans to develop rules for this like you did the ACW line?

More and varied technicals:

Flat bed Land Rovers or Toyotas with 23mm or 14.5mm AA guns, RCLs or rocket launchers.
Tactics are the opinion of the senior officer present.

Regarding my earlier post, the armored scout vehicle to which I refer is the XM800T Armored Reconnaissance Scout Vehicle. There was an articulated wheeled version, as well. PLEASE select the tracked one. Despite the prevailing preference for scout vehicles... in my OPINION, tracks are preferable.

GOERS. I need GOERS for my late 70s tank battalions. Cargo, Fuel Service, and Recovery versions.

Any chance of the GM model of the XM-1? CinC did the prototype Chrysler model, but nobody has the other prototype. I suppose this goes into the bin along with the M-103 and MBT-70...

Additonal TILTS in 2017:

I too would like to see GHQ make an M58 MICLIC trailer for the US Modern catalog.(see Brutzel's reply on page 4 to see an M1132 styrker towing this trailer)

Also an M1102 trailier for use with Humvees and the M1095 trailer for MTV trucks would be very useful.

A modernized M997a4 would be cool too

thanks for reading GHQ

Yes on the MICLIC. Can be towed by just about any U.S. vehicle or, alternatively, mounted on the back of the M-1 Breaching vehicle. If this was made as a 2 part model with the launcher bed/arm and a 2 wheeled trailer it could be attached to then it could be used in either format.

MICLIC trailer(s) is a great idea, I was thinking of how to kit bash stuff.
The two part MICLIC is wonderful, so that the launcher can be place on the hull of M60 AVLB, towed, etc. as you stated.

Not wishing to be quite so greedy as my previous list implied, I have revised and prioritized...

1. M-8 Armored Gun System

2. XM-800(T)

3, MBT-70

4. M520, M559 GOERs

5. M103A2

6. M-59

Any two will keep me happy, busy, and poor for the next couple years, along with all the stuff I already plan.

At last, after recently watching a nice video, I have one wish to add:

Bergepanzer 3 "Büffel"

Cheers,

Opel blitz busses.
Accessories for all armored/soft vehicles - i.e. Bags, stowage, rolls of barbed wire, tires etc.
civilian cars - World War Two
Barrels - 50 gallon
Open bed Opel blitz trucks (like ZIS trucks)
