Can't make it this weekend unfortunately, I expect to see a full AAR from your battle! As always your terrain and miniatures are exceptionally well done. And yes July is always a good month to fight a Kirdk engagement.mluther wrote:Steve,
You need to make a game some time. I'm doing a Kursk game this Saturday in Marietta. (if its July its gotta be Kursk)
Thanks,
Mark

And here it is:
Folks wanted a tank bash so I went with the Kampfgruppe Stachwitz vs 6th Tank Corps action near Verkhnopenye on July 10, 1943. The game starts very early in the morning with the mixed task force of KG Stachwitz from the Grossdeutschland Div moving on to some higher ground after learning of a large concentration of Soviet tanks to the southwest.

Hi Mark
That is a fantastic looking game .... as always! In some of the shots I almost feel that I am really there and not looking at a tiny 6mm game. Great!

Here are a few pictures from a game that I ran on August 1st at Imperial Outpost Games in Glendale, Arizona.
The rules are Mein Panzer by ODGW and the setting is North Africa in the summer of 1942.
Battlefield viewed from the north. These are the opening moves of turn 1.

Crusaders move up the hill to engage the Panzer IVs to their front.

Grants on the move. They were on the north section of the battlefield.
Hope you enjoy the pictures,
Pete

Hi Cama and Thomas
Thanks very much for your very nice comments. These pictures were from a game we did on August 1st. We actually had 8 players plus Bob Benge from ODGW and me as moderators.
I will see if I can get some more pictures posted in the future.

Great pics, pal! How did you make that hilly terrain? Is it permanently sculpted oder a mat with stuff underneath?mluther wrote:And here it is:

A few years ago I made a flickr set on setting up tables.
I am really going for a cheap, easily transportable way to do decent looking terrain. Not a detailed as permanent boards, but able to show various terrain types with some depth and texture.
