Maple Leaf Landing
(Canadian Base Commander): (slams his fist on the table) "Danm it!! Now we have to deal with both AL-Kabab and the Brown Trousers at the same time?!?, How could this have happened???, for now on EVERY VEHICLE will have to be inspected outside the gates BEFORE they come in to ANYONE of our Bases and outposts. it looks like we have to accelerate our plans, it seem that these 2 militant groups have joined forces some how? deal with the BT in the Ksar area first, then will try to take out Al-Kabab.
T.Zeina area Canadian Block
The Canadian army forces there will plan out a offensive on the Ksar area, there objective is the main radio station that BT is using to coordinate there attacks, then to find the BT groups leader and kill him.

The purpose of an M577 COMMAND POST VEHICLE is to serve as a COMMAND POST, not as a status vehicle for officers on parade. They are normally co-located with several other M577s serving ops, intelligence and commo sections, and perhaps the arty liaison track. The occupants may include staff sections, ie. assistant staff officers, NCOs, and enlisted personnel. The PRIMARY officers - commander, xo, operations - use their tanks, M2s, M113s, or HUMVEEs, to get around the battlefield. They MAY even WALK, but they need their M577s at the TOC to maintain communications and coordinate the battle. The TOC is usually in a location that can be more easily secured and concealed and not positioned so directly in the battle, regardless of the way the Canadians currently use "there" M577s. With all those Canadian troops and vehicles in that poor little town, there can't be any parking for Brown trouser technicals. Not a hotel room left in town for a terrorist. Bet the Canadians didn't think to bring the porta-potties, either. "Hey! That ain't a landmine, but you don't wanna step in it."
With all the officers showing "there" status, snipers must be having a field day...

Canadian Occupied T.Zeina
In preperation for the eventual siege of the Ksar area, M109s from the Royal Regiment of Canadian Arttilery began counter battery operations against the Brown Trousers rocket launcher positions. The Regiments spotters had to go on the rooftops to track where the rocket launchers are based on where the rockets came from. once that operation is done, infantry from the Queens own rifles and Winnipeg Grenadiers, supported by Armored vehicles from the Sherbrooke Fusiliers and Fort Gray Horse will make there way into the area to flush out the remaining Brown Trousers from the area.

Thanks Gator, just bits I have, not much in truth but I hope to use them all on the Yer Bouti City soon. Must get back to the real Army in a bit. Just killing time waiting for the list.
K-nuk Occupied half of T.Zeina.
The K-nuks now hold over 50% of the area just 1000 homes (3,000 rooms) to go to take all of T.Zeina, There may be more tunnels too.
The K-nuk 109's prove to be more battle ready and competent than the rest of the force.
In short order they completely take out.
2 Schools, 1 place of worship, 4 of the main crossroads in Ksar (making them unusable).
2 groves of fig trees, 1 cemetery and 6 areas of open dirt and sand.
The firing of two single Katyusha's this morning from the still BT occupied half of T.Zeina was deemed too close for comfort by the M109 battery commander and conformation was sort , saving the K-nuk forward position 50 meters away.
The first roadside IED went off today on the route from the Northern beach outpost to the T.Zeina foothold. The LAV 3 was very lucky in it's position on the road at the time, just clipping the outer edge of a mechanical tip switch. It lost the two front right wheels (crew shaken but not stirred). The hull was penetrated damaging the engine but saving the driver.
Mech, How many ships are at the single pier in the port and how far off shore are your battleships?
From the Brown Trousers field book of naughtiness, page107.
For a good camera at 100 metres (330 ft) above sea level, the horizon is at a distance of 36 kilometres (22 mi).

The Battleships HMCS Kanata and HMCS Confederation are 200 nautical miles off shore from the Northern Beach Outpost guarded by the Frigates HMCS Calgray and HMCS Ville de Quebec against Anti-ship missiles.
As for ships in the pier there are 2 Cargo Vessels, the Light Cruiser HMCS Quebec and the Canadian Red Cross Vessel MV Frederick Banting. how ever the area surrounding the pier has been heavily fortified with land based Phalanx CWIS's and ESSM missile platforms, Plus MG Nests, AT guns and Field Artillery Positions, on the more critical areas of Maple Leaf landing there are nets draped over to prevent drone attacks.
T.zeina area Canadian block
The Canadian forces in the forward base changed there plans and continued there work on removing the BT militants from the area, it would take time as the Winnipeg Grenadiers will have lob grenades and PIAT rounds in every building they see to flush out hidden units, and using C4s to collapse the tunnel network, its a laborious and grinding work but it will be done.

The city. T. Zeina area.
In the the face of mounting losses the entire populace of the T. Zeina area starts to flee.
The brutal onslaught of the invading troops has rendered this part of the city unlivable.
Most of the blocks of tightly packed homes are no longer recognizable. It is a terribly sad site, people are just carrying what they can and helping the many injured.
They stream out of the area in all directions. Some to Ksar, some East, other are just walking North in to the desert. anywhere away from the K-nuks.
This will not be the images that Mansbridge will like.
Ksar radio is on the air again, detailing which clinics still have a bandage or two left. Water is in short supply now and the food is running out.
The music plays on but people are starting to ask how the UIN can allow this.
"I have just been given a tape from the brave freedom fighters, remember everyone if you can help them in any way please do, here is the tape".
"All people of the city, your resistance has given us the time to develop the greatest of weapons, now it is time to give the invaders a taste of their own medicine".
"At six tonight we will unleash the DONKEY upon them, at six".
"Well there you have it, tonight's show will start at six, we'll have cameras out to live stream what ever the DONKEY bringeth, here is Pharrell Williams with Happy."
Music follows.

T.zeina
The Commanding officer of the Forward base hastily orders the Winnipeg Grenadiers to cease and desist the house to house demo operation when reports coming in of civilians fleeing the area they where shocked by what happened, they initially thought that all of the civilians have left, T.zeina and that the houses where abandoned? its seems apparent that mistakes where being made, but right now there worried about this "DONKEY" that the local radio station said it will happen at 6? all the Canadian outposts and the Warships out at sea are warned about this possible threat and operations in the city has been halted.
The Canadian Forces in T.zeina are in full retreat back to the Northern Outpost to provide defenses.
Maple Leaf Landing is under a full lockdown, AAA, CWIS's and ESSM systems are primed.every solider is manning there AT guns MG nests and artillery pieces preparing for the upcoming attack.
Out at the sea the RCN ships are in Battle stations and aircraft from the HMCS Canada are preforming patrols to deter any air attacks.

North of the city.
As six o’clock grows near, several unmarked vehicles are making their way through the desert. They leave the road and head for some uneven ground away from the natural lines of drift that the fleeing civilians are following. They stop behind a sand dune and rough men with non-regulation beards and haircuts get out, surveying the area. Others get out and deploy extendable antennas from the HMMWVs while others retrieve small satellite dish-looking antennas from the gun trucks. Inside the shelters, one man is pounding on a computer keyboard while others are frantically flipping switches and adjusting dials amid a greenish, electronic glow.

The City.
Ksar Radio 's transmissions are being jammed across the city.
Online they still have a website, they post a link.
The Live stream starts but it maybe a prerecorded video.
The caption on the screen reads T. Zeina but the lack of damage and the weather would tend to be from earlier or a different part of the city. A view from an aerial drone pans across the city then zooms in closer.

Stirring patriotic music is playing as a 15 year old leads a donkey pulling an old clapped out 120mm mortar can be seen. In something of a Bollywood meets kung-fu type presentation.
K-nuk soldiers (or actors) can be seen dropping their rifles and running in fear. The youth carries on in to the neighborhood the fleeing Army running ahead of the fearsome donkey.
A shot of Brown flags flying over the ruins (true image) of T. Zeina is shown.
The caption 'Our home is liberated' runs across the screen'.
Indeed the BT are slowly creeping back into the area (more worried about their own booby traps they set) and the brown flags are flying high again.
Credits are given to.

Maple Leaf Landing.
In the large mess hall at Maple Leaf Landing the mood is relaxed for the first time in days.
Not even a Katyusha has fallen today. A groups of soldiers has just been stood down and are watching the now famous Donkey video for the first time.
" We’ve been out all day for this? What are those top brass thinking?"
"We’re lucky, the poor buggers up North are doing a Duke of York. Up and down the hill while the snipers take their time popping away at ya."
"Hey look ! They just put a second video up."
A large crowd forms around the laptop.
The video of the youth and the donkey from earlier continues. The sky is still bright blue.
Masses of the K-nuks (or actors) can be seen lining up their T-55’s tanks and pointing at the youth roaring with laughter.
"Is that all you have got?" Shouts one of their K-nuk offices in the movie.
The Youth hold up a toy like red ball complete with red and blue flashing LED’s.
"This is made with the blood of our families, the strength of our hearts and the venom of our revenge."
The youth turns and drops the plastic toy ball down the mortar tube. There is a pantomime puff of smoke, the troops in the mess hall start to crack up and giggle out loud.
The video stops and cuts to a shaking webcam live feed in real time, the sky is black.
"Where is that?" asks a private.
(K-nuk Cpl Tooling) "Looks a bit like downtown, looking this way, at the camp."
