Northern Beach Outpost
The Canadian forces watched in shock and disbelief that Maple leaf Landing had been destroyed, the DONKEY that the BT referred too was a SS-21 Scarab Ballistic Missile.
with the Main command staff in the Landing killed along with most of there forces, the remaining Canadians signaled the RCN fleet to pick up the remaining Canadian Army units, there leaving Mauritania behind, There Mission to remove the militants is a major failure.

to any CofC forces out there, your on your own.

Ruined Maple Leaf Landing
The Canadian army has asked the US to help Coordinate the efforts on recovering the wounded and transporting them to Germany, while at the port the remaining Canadian army forces is scouring the ruined base looking for survivors while whats left of the Canadian Red Cross tends to the wounded as best as they could.

The United States has agreed to help its long time ally, despite the NBA championship going to a Canadian team.

At Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany (US facility) all personnel have been called in and mass casualty protocols are being executed. US AFRICOM is using what limited assets it has to assist with triage and transportation of casualties. The USAF will fly C-17s in to Mauritania to pick up casualties and transport them either to Canada or to LRMC in Germany.

The city
The youth of an entire city are trying to join the ranks of the Brown Trousers. The BT see a massive spike in support across all factions.
The MLF which had aligned with the K-nuks early on, see the way the wind is blowing and offer full backing to the BT. They will be quickly assimilated and later purged.
The BT orders a halt to the harassing fire on the two remaining K-nuk sites. Brown flags are flying all over and the BT are setting up road checkpoints across the North and West of the city.
Some of their armour is starting to appear from hiding.

It is believed the Hoplites may have picked up a signals communication from the city to the North.
It is coded in open language but reads as slang between two good friends talking gibberish or perhaps both looking at the same page from an unknown book. The slang pointing to a word or line.
Repeated use of the same gibberish words gives a clue to the placement of maybe some parts of the conversation such as , the, and, yes, no, to, I, you, we.
Without knowing which book let alone which page they are looking at, you will never be certain and a new page is used each day.
The Hoplites have a bearded one who has seen this before, he also has the nads to take a guess.

The feel of the message is interpreted to be a request to fire another missile or another attack, approval is sort but refused from a higher authority.

Meanwhile Yer Bouti is calling for dialogue.
It is also sending a complete field hospital and a large amount of humanitarian aid starting with water and food.
It will be provided to the BT in the North of the Country for them to distribute and operate.

No Yer Bouti Forces are in the former Mauritaniadom

Onboard HMCS Canada bound for home.
The Surviving officers are staring in disbelief over how their counter insergency operation in Mauritaina had gone so horribly wrong, the original mission was to remove the militants out of the city within a few months that should have been a simple mission, the major problem was the locals living there, they keeped getting in the way of our armed forces when we entered the T.zeina area a several weeks ago, then there's the Brown Trousers who used rather unconventional tactics against us which irritated the operations strategists on the feild, but for now there main concern is the possibility of losing there commisions and facing embarrassment.

One might think those officers would be more likely contemplating the pointless loss of life among THEIR MEN, thanks to officers more concerned with their status and egos than the competent employment of what should have been an overwhelming force.

And it bloody was an overwhelming force, we assumed that we are dealing with a bunch of uneducated people who does not understand the basics of conventional ground warfare, but we did not expect to see them have a tunnel system, bomb drones, and planned ambushes.

yes yes I know the saying "never assume too much", but this is an enemy that Canada has never faced before so we did not know what to expect, its unclear if the Canadian Military will ever return to Mauritania since the destruction of Maple Leaf Landing, plus they are throwing this defeat under the rug to avoid embarrassment.

To what end? The world is quite aware of what happened. It isn't the sort of thing that slides under a rug.

Perhaps a little research is in order prior to the next foray into the world of international do-gooding and meddling. Start with a healthy respect for your enemy. History is replete with episodes of "barbarians" taking the "civilized professionals" to the woodshed. Ever heard of Teutoberg Forest? The Seminole Wars? Isandlwhana? Little Bighorn? Vietnam? Iraq? How many time did Carthage whip Rome before you he Romans prevailed? Not that the Carthaginians were barbarians, if course.

I have just heard there is a very good book from the Center for Military History called The U.S. Army in Iraq or something to that effect. REALLY GOOD example of failure by people who should have known better, and the fired or retired everybody who tried to tell 'em.
Again, I will recommend The Utility of Force by Gen Rupert Smith. There are some good books written by cavalrymen in Vietnam which offer a belly-on-the-ground view of action in ambushed columns. Combat in cities is a very difficult proposition requiring training and preparation. Look at Mounted Combat in Vietnam by Gen Donn Starry.

Should you want a book list, PM me.

CoC has 4 divisions from Americus Island, Monacodom, Moroccodom, and from the Balkins transported to Alabamstan. Then will prepare for the occupation of western Mauritania along with the forces there on the eastern edge of Nouakchott. Once Alabamstan is no longer the wilderness it will become Alabamdom.
