The latest actual historical game we played at GigaBites Café in Marietta GA was a fun June 41 I Ain't Been Shot, Mum game in 6mm on Sunday. This game is part of the major tank battle around Verba and Dubno. This action is on June 29th, 1941. Parts of the 16th Pz Div's II Abt, 2 Pz Rgt and of II Abt 64 Schutzen Rgt are heading west and northwest to encircle the Soviet 34th Tank Div.
Soviets are dug in on a slope expecting some armor reinforcements in the form of T34 model 40s and KV1s. Lots of panzers moving across the table and Russian green tank crews getting flummoxed.

Well, the quarantine has given me a chance to edit and label some pics from a Dec/19 6mm I Ain't Been Shot Mum game. I set up a Normandy scenario for friends at my place based on Operation Express. I was still in the mood for a Normandy game and wanted something with Churchills and ruins.

Played a quick solo game between some Leopard 2A6s and T80s.
Leo CO and S&T section at the pumping station along the pipeline road. Deep recon reports T80s on the move towards him.

His mission is to guard the ford over the wadi.

Drone pictures show a combat recon patrol of tanks headed his way.

He brings his 1st Platoon on line to hold them off.

The T80s continue to advance past the wadi and are taken under fire. Success!

The T80s return fire and punish the Leos for interrupting their party

The Leo CO sends one tank section up on the ridge to flank the invaders

The T80s prove difficult to kill from the front and the Leos suffer from extremely poor gunnery skills (OK die rolls). But the Leos on the ridge flanking the invaders finally score another kill causing the invaders to attempt to break contact, their morale dropping like a waxed brick with 50% casualties.

The T80s fire one last volley as they depart leaving the Leos a lovely parting gift.

It was a fun little exercise to get some freshly painted lead on the table and test of my homebrew mashup of WRG and Threat rules.

Tactics are the opinion of the senior officer present.

Nice post/pics Cav Dog!
Thanks for the spark. I want to do this as well just to set something up and shoot something. lol Even if it is like MBT vs MBT like you did. Faster movement and there is something satisfying about destroying a tank.
Reading a book on Michael Wittmann now and need to set something up so Panzers and Panzer grenadiers can go after the Red Army!
Thanks.
