JB what do you mean by good? Yeah I know re reliable etc, but do you mean different views of the gun, versions released etc?

Just a brief search, which I'm sure you've done as well comes up with,

If this is is a long term project I will be in Volgograd in January and will be haunting the past there so I'm sure the Panorama Museum, amongst others will have some examples. I can get some images then.

I'm sure MK1 will chime in here. You've located his weakness! :) (Or strength. Depends on how you look at it.)

...yeah the first one looks suspisciously like a 100mm . If it is an 85mm ATG probably post WWII. The second sight just refers to the zis-2 57mm.
From what I got on the internet there are only 2 different pictures. From what I gather so far is that the 85mm ATG or anti aircraft gun has a cruciform type carriage not unlike the german flak 88. The 85 doesn't have a gun shield ,has only one recoil tube under the guntube ,whereas the 88 has 2 ( :( ). They both have 2 piece barrels and a recoil cylinder atop the barrel ( :D )The 85 doesn't have the recoil slide rail like the 88 that extends further back from the breech. It also seems that the wheels on the 85 are more to the size of the 37mm AA or the bofors type wheels. Anyways all I have so far are 2 pictures of the thing and I would really like to get more views, possibly bashing the 88 to make some
Thanks guys...

This site has a pretty good picture of the 85mm dual purpose gun...

Quality castings makes a 15mm version of the same model:
85mm M1939 AA/AT gun 9KS-12

Hope this helps...

Thanks guys. All those sites are really helpful. It looks like I will be able to build something out of the Soviet 37mm AA chasis and the 88 flak...

So I've read through this thread a couple times, and I'm still not sure...

JB, was it the M1939 85mm AA gun you were looking for?

Not the D-44 (M1944) 85mm AT gun?

If it was in fact the M1939 AA gun, the link posted by Gort will give you the best pictures you can hope for. Vladimir is an avid modeller, and takes very detailed walk-around pictures. He just got back from Kubinka, BTW, and his photos, as always are a treasuer for tank modellers.

If it was in fact the D-44 AT gun you were interested in, you should know that it was not actually at WW2 gun. The gun itself was standardized in 1944, but the ammo took longer to work out (it was a very powerful high-velocity gun), and so it was not issued to service units until after the war.
