YIKES!!!
At first, I coudn't tell what scale it was, then I noticed the figures were the DML (and possibly other) 1/6th "toys"!

yes.....I can see how I could take my hobby with me to Volgograd. The hysterics of the security personnel at the airport, the frenzied expression of the cabin staff, the confiscation of said hobby material at Sheremateyvo.......
yes, it would make an interesting trip.........
I think i'll stick to Harpoon on disc!

One of the most incredible things I've ever seen in military modeling.

After checking out that incredible train, I went to their club website and saw that they build a lot of stuff in 1/6 scale, including motorized metal tanks. I remember when the Tiger came out by this new company in the late 90's in 1/6 scale. Fully metal Tiger with gasoline engine, gun actually works and fires something called a maroon I think (whatever that is). The tracks came as each individual peice (pins, shoes, ...) to be assembled. I figured, with the optional equipment, that Tiger was going to cost about $6500! If I ever have a sudden windfall, I would love to build one of those!

1/6th tigers on the move, through mud etc!
It also made me think about the recent release by Hornby; the HO/OO scale working steam train.
Where will it end, 25 years time...the new GHQ release....remote control Stalingrad/Normandy/ take your pick....or rather programmed units....following orders.....

I collected GI Joe and some of the Dragon figures, but nothing like that! I am aware that the HMGS-East chapter had run some 1/6th scale games at their conventions, using some of those big M-5s and stuff, up until the club bought the figures, then everything disappeared. I have used GHQ and other 6mm stuff as toy soldiers or models for some of my Joes, though.
