Allied equipment used by Russians

Here is a very complete listing of all the Allied equipment shipped to the USSR during the war years, including railroad equipment, truck, tanks, etc...

For a long time the Soviets did not recognize the volume of equipment supplied by England or America during the war. The number of trucks is staggering...

In wargaming it's cool to have Germans with T-34 The Russians with Shermans and so on.

I mix some of my units.........i am surpised over the years how many gamers actually argue about this...then I kindly remind them....that in 1941 the germans captured more russian <including> equipment from vehicles to weapons then the germans produced doing the entire year of 1941 and part of 1942 in there own factories

Yeah, it's pretty well accepted that the lend-lease trucks supplied to the Russians were instrumental in putting wheels under an important part of the Red Army.

Whether that in return played a decisive role in the final outcome of the conflict on the Eastern Front is rather more difficult to ascertain. Personally I would think no. It may have played a more prominent, but perhaps less obvious role in the post-war shaping of Europe, however.
