WW2 Hungarian army

Post by Grizzly »

Hey All,

After a lengthy medical problem I'm back up and kicking and itching to build a new army and looking at the Hungarian models I decided to do a Hungarian army.
I have a couple of books for reference but they mostly include info on the vehicles so thats covered but what I have nor been able to find alot on googling is the types of german artillery they used,I know they used it but I just want to make sure I get the correct models.
I am hoping someone has knowledge of a good link on this subject.TIA

I will be using German troops just painted khaki. 8)

They used Panzer IV F1 & F2 Panzer 38-T(G) Up armored.
I think they used the 10.5cm. They used 37mm 36M( Which I think was the 3.7 Pak) that for micro you could use a German 3.7cm.

Hope this helps!!
Cheers

Good website on Hungarian weapons in general:

http://www.dws.xip.pl/bron/wegry/wegry.html#Part3

Aside from the German 105mm leFH.18 (Haubica 37.M), most modern Hungarian field artillery was of Bofors origin, the 105mm 31.M field gun and 150mm 31.M howitzer. Ex-WWI Austro-Hungarian weapons such as the Skoda 75mm 15.M mountain gun, 76.5mm Skoda M.5/8 field gun, and 100mm Skoda 14.M howitzer. Antitank artillery included the German 37mm PAK35/36 (36.M), 50mm PAK38 (38.M), and 75mm PAK40 (40.M) as well as captured Belgian 47mm pieces (provided by the Germans) and the 40mm 40.M, a license-built PAK35/36 with a cut-down 40mm Bofors barrel and chambered to fire Bofors ammunition. In 1/285 scale the 40.M is virtually indistinguishable from the PAK35/36. Antiaircraft artillery consisted of 20mm Madsen guns from Denmark, 40mm and 80mm Bofors weapons, and German 88mm Flak37.
