GHQ Rules-Movement Question

I'm currently about to playtest the GHQ-Modern Rules and am confused about how the Movement works. It states that each vehicle has Movement Points and different terrain reduces these MP by 'x' amount, depending on the terrain and the type of vehicle.

Eg: I wish to move a T-80 MBT over Rough Terrain 1. The T-80 has 18 MP, Rough Terrain 1 cost 1 MP per 100 meters. I choose to move the tank 8 MP.
(This is where I get confused)

According to the Terrain Effects Chart, this will cost me 1 MP per 100meters.
So how does this work? :?
How does this configure to inches afterwards as well?

Note- I only wish to have the answers from those whom have played or play with the GHQ rules. I don't want answers from those who don't play GHQ rules... :)

Thanks

Okay, after reading the Movement rules over a couple of times, I think I have it figured out.

Taking the example above, the T-80 MBT and its Movement Points of 18 and having it move on Rough Terrain 1, which costs 1 MP/ 100 meters. This what I figured out.

I chose to move the tank 8", which means that I lose 8 MP from the tanks MP value of 18, which leaves me with 10 MP remaining. This allows me another chance to move the same tank again if I wish.
Now, lets take the same tank and have it move through Rough Terrain 3, which costs 3 MP per 100 meters, will only allow me to move the T-80 6" (18 MP / 3 MP per 100m= 6")
(I guess my math from my 2nd yr Millwrighting did help a bit...LOL)

Let me know if I have this figured out correctly. :D

you are right...

you count the movement cost by inch of movement...

so if you move your T-80 across 2 inches of "roug-3", then 6 inches across "clear" it used

2x3 + 6x1 = 12 movement points and can still move some six inches across clear or 2 inches across rough-3... or any combination of terrain and distance.

Remember just to count it by inch moved.
