Hey no problem... I like there aircraft (quite a selection) but dont care much for their vehicles or figures. I only go with the vehicles if there is something i need for my Early War French TO&E that i know GHQ doesnt handle. Have been wishing for long time that they would add more for their French lineup. I personally think that the early war time period has been long overlooked. There was alot more going on than just two big armies slugging it out. Mostly if you setup your German army up for Blitzkrieg tactics. But then again that would mean that GHQ would have to make a JU87B Stuka. But now i am just complaining.

Now on the same token the Moraine Saulneir turned out nice. They say its an "N" model but I believe it to be different because of the missing "bullet" nose.

...sorry didn't mean to upset you. Its just that we were talking about how to make trenchs for WWI micro,that I had to pick up some troops. They just look to ugly to even mess with. Your probably safe for a few years at least. I figure it will be at least 5 years before you you see GHQ WWI line ,maybe.
As for the aircraft I picked up a few. I want to use them for the Avalon Hill "Richthofen's War". Its an old board game that I would like to modify to using minis with...

Maybe you remember my previous posts (about 1-1-/2 years ago) posts about WWI gaming. I was working on some cratered Terrain Maker hexes as well. I am back from another year's crimp on my gaming plans and will be back in action as of this weekend.
I use GHQ for my German, French and soon Austrian and Italian infantry. The uniforms and gear at this scale are way too similar to notice from more than 12 inches away. For the support weapons, MG 08, MG 08-15, I use Scotia. If you think that the H & R figures are not to your liking, than you will not want to test out the Scotia infantry waters either. Their support weapons figures are all lying down so they will not ruffle your feathers quite so much. As for the Chauchat, I use the machine gunner from the GHQ and clip off the top-loading magazine. You end up with a lot of unused sub-machinegun equipped soldiers going my route but that is the bullet one must bite.
Armor; I use Scotia. While quite to my disliking, they are the best to start with for a quasi-accurate shape. I replace guns with brass rod, rescribe panel lines and sometimes add new doors from lead sheet.
If I get a chance (and the household 6 helps!) I will post a few pics for you. As anyone who has had the chance to get any WWI reading in, they have learnes that 1917-1918 had quite a bit of primitive combined arms action with some nail-biting maneuver action (at the battalion and below level). I have said it before, "take a look at 1918 French squad and platoon organisations and you you will see a 1942-1945 US Army written all over it.
