...I've decided to post the picture of my casualties here so that if any one is offended by its nature they can go elsewhere.

How about these. They are made from some of the ones that didn't make it on the sprues...

None taken, man. I haven't used them in 25 years. I had to dig them out of a closet. They are just some figs that were broke or miscast. I felt that they should be brought out due to request of some...

...but when you are on the attack, aren't you supposed to be going the other direction? You know towards the objective.

JB, I must have missed somthing from another thread. I also play ACW minis, and we use casualty figures as "Pinned/Surpressed" markers and artillery crew "KIA" markers.
No one ever complained about it. Interesting pic you posted. Looks a little messy for my taste, but they could be used for gaming.

...yeah I made those over 25 years ago from figures that didn't make it,literaly. Interestingly enough I only used them in 1 wargame, back then. I just didn't want to make the actual amount needed for wargaming.
I once had to do this profession, and I really don't want it to look clean, because it isn't. One of the most profound rememberance I had was in basic training,it was a Friday night. Most people my age (just turned 18 ) were out looking for a good job after school. I just got done with a night march and was getting instruction on how to negotiate a barb wire entanglement with booby traps. This session was given by veterans straight from Vietnam who had to do these things. How many of you ever had to sit in a hole in the complete darkness for hours watching the treelines turn into the enemy because you stare straight at them for too long? Thats what I had to do. The same reason those war photograghers go out and risk their lives, just to show the tragedy of mankind. They take the Graphic pictures to show others to deter them from doing this, not becase they are fiends. Not all soldiers that go to the battlefield are butchers like the 1870+ US Cavalry or the SS at Malmedy. Most are there to stop the bullies that grew up and got a license to kill.
Now if you want have a clean wargame and not even think about it fine. Even though I don't represent my casualties on the battlefield they are there. I use tactics that will eliminate the enemy and try to bring my men and women home. Ask anybody who plays with me,we don't play to the end like the 300 Spartans.
So if you want to have a clean battlefield thats fine,if others want it otherwise thats OK too..
As for Ulrich, you really need to respect others here.Your name calling and attitude really need to go elsewhere...far ,far away...
Another thing that I find real ironic is,is that instead of going to Vietnam I got sent to West Germany. I defended your country

JB.. I agree with you 100%. Nothing like getting into the military when your 19 and being shipped to a foreign country to help protect it from a communist threat.

Keep up the good work.

To anyone who has followed this thread- yes, we have edited/deleted a couple posts. Once again, we ask that anyone who uses our forum please do so in a respectful manner. In our opinion, civilian and casualty figures are not uncommon in this hobby. They may not be for everyone, but please keep in mind that some gamers can, and do use them. Please keep in mind that this isn't a matter of free speech, it is a matter of GHQ maintaining a friendly atmosphere on our forum. We will do what we can to keep the name calling and inflammatory comments out of here. We have been contacted by several forum users who have requested that we step in and put an end to this.

Thank you,
GHQ

JB I`m from Winnipeg Manitoba. (do you know where it is? I`m 500 north of Minneapolis we border the Minnesota, North Dakota border. I was in the reserves up here in an armoured unit. I`ve done infantry training and yes I had to do a lot or staring at trees to see if I could spot enemy movement. After a while the trees became the enemy and they looked like they were moving. Just last spring about 50-60 reseverist from the Minnesota and North Dakota area came to Winnipeg and were training with our resevists and I think that more training between US and Canadian forces should be taking place. Of course Peacniks came out against the training and mostly were against the US guys. I`d love to send those peacniks to Irag. Oh, I usually order from GHQ which is in Minneapolis and they are fast in delivery.

Again I have to say that politics have no place on this forum. I know alot of participants feel the same way. We've managed to have a respectfull community here for several years and I'd like to keep it that way.

Thanks again
