GHQ Rules

Post by Bullshot »

Just a quick question about GHQ's rules. Other than stats, scenarios and subject matter, is there any difference between MicroArmor the Game for WW2 or for Modern? Are the mechanics the same? Thanks.

The mechanics of the WWII and Modern rules are very similiar, if you know one you can pick up the other easily. Why change something that works?

The big difference between the two is that the modern rules introduce the concept of tech levels. A higher tech level unit can fire two or more times a turn as their higher level of technology would allow them to acquire and destroy targets for example.

The real heart of the Modern rules is the tech level system which allows you to easily, seamlessly and realistically have units of different tech levels fight in a scenario. So scenarios of guerillas vs. modern US forces can be done easily for example.

I like the modern rules, very playable with realistic results.
