So I downloaded the demo to Panzer Command which is based on Mobius' Panzer War. I just thought it was pretty damn cool that a set of miniatures rules is now a computer game offered by a major game company Matrix games.
Great Job Mobius!

I too d/l Matrix Games, Panzer Command. (not SSI's Panzer Commander)
The mini rules may be good if not great - hats off to Mobius BUT the interface for the game is somewhat clunky and I found that the game was a basicly like Battlefront's Combat Mission but with a true campaign system instead of canned missions and better graphics for the armor and infantry.
Troy
Post Script: I see there is a patch out - I bought the initial version 1.0. I will try it out...

I'll tell you Troy its hard to steer it away from CM stuff. You get many players that are only familiar with computer games like CM and want things in that game to be added to PC or else its not realistic.
CM commands like "Hunt".
"Tank 122 I want you to hunt."
"Hunt, what sir"?
"Hunt that AT gun that the hive-mind sees over two hills."
"Yes sir."
"Where is tha wasscally AT gun?"
I have to reign some of these people back to reality. Though it does get me to recheck my data and clearify ideas in Panzer War.
I wasn't a playtester for the original release but got in to help out at 1.31 (I think it is.)
We are working on a pretty neat expansion with many added features.
One thing is great is the computer does all the math so I can suggest complexity that I wouldn't never ask my engineer friends to do in a miniatures game.

Sorry for the threadjack, but...........
Mobius,
Having gotten into the computer gaming market, is there any thought of converting your Seas of War rules/data to a PC format/engine?
Thanks

They want to maybe do something with all my rules. But SoW may be down the line a bit as they only have one 3D design team that does turn based mini-like games and there is all of WWII ground combat to cover. Then modern armor.
So naval would have to either have to wait a number of years or other teams would have to do it.
And it all depends on how successful they are. Right now I hear console games are 3-4 times the business as computer games and are taking over. (But then how much is that just shooter games and who cares about those going console?)
