WWII German Cross Decals

Post by Brian-Edmonton »

Hi All,

I was about to place an order and wanted to get some German cross decals but can't see any on GHQ's order page. Does anyone know if they stopped making them? Or maybe i missed it, I only saw the early war Polish campagin crosses. Or if not is there anywhere else that sells them? I do have a sheet of older ones but they are of the two part variety. One part is the white background and the other is the cross, really annoying to apply : ).

On the same note, is there any good sources for numerals for the smaller tanks? I have applied German tactical numbers to the smaller tanks but they look too big. I want to decal a bunch of MKII tanks but teh decals won't fit.

Any advice?

Thanks

Brian

Brian...

Hey you could try here... http://www.i-94enterprises.com/products.htm . They have a good selection of numbers and crosses. I have ordered from him before and recommend his products.

RoughRider, I think there is a tacit rule that you don't openly advertise competitive products here. After all, it's just not cricket, is it?

Brian, Balkenkreuz for vehicles are here:
http://www.ghqmodels.com/store/d11.html

and for aircraft here:
http://www.ghqmodels.com/store/d20.html

I hope this helps

Ok, but you only filled half the bill of what he was looking for. He was also looking for numbers and since i knew of a place that sold them and many other decals in different scales i ddint see the harm.

Brian-Edmonton,

GHQ also sells German Tactical Numerals, in

WHITE
http://www.ghqmodels.com/store/d5.html

BLACK
http://www.ghqmodels.com/store/d6.html

and RED
http://www.ghqmodels.com/store/d7.jpg

Those may work for you... or there are other manufacturers (at least two that I know of) who also sell decals. Do a little searching on Yahoo! or Google -- you'll probably find them.

Hope this helps!

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all the replies. I will go ahead and order the crosses. And regarding the tactical numbers I have most of the GHQ line now and I just find them too big for the earlier tanks. I guess I should have asked this question on another board outside of GHQ as I was hoping for a reply regardless of manufacturer. I want the best product regardless of maker. But since this is a GHQ site its understandable. Perhaps a PM would have been a better way to reply with other companies names or urls?

I support GHQ as all of my micro armour is GHQ, I just wish they made smaller decals. Regarding their miniatures, I think they are second to none. When you paint them up with dark washes and dry brushing, the detail stands out nicely.

I will place my order tomorrow, thanks again for all the fast repliies.
