Nicely done! I don't have what it takes to make LAV III's so I had to settle for coyotes. Have you given a crack at modeling the Leopard c2's with the MEXAS up armour package?

Sounds interesting enough. Is that pic an actual LAV-III from the net or is it the completed model that you have worked on?

Here is my suggestion.

First, I won an auction that had 10 LAV 25 turrets without the hulls. Then I used the Stryker CAV version and inserted the LAV 25 turret in the hole for the commanders weapon station. Worked perfectly! Now for 5 or 6 of these, I used the Stryker Cav dection/spotting 'box' and glued on left rear hull, on two i added telescopic pole to extend the device into the air for better survellience.

Any other good ideas?

So with the LAV 25 turret, you can just drop it into the stryker cav no problem, or is it much harder then you make it out to be? Does it look proper?

Hey Cama, care to post a pic of your LAV III's?

Cheers....

You could use those LAV hulls for Canadian Bison APCs, which as far as I know are just LAVs without turrets. Could also use them for recovery or maybe mortar vehicles as well.

I think the Bison is more of an uparmored C2 version in that it has the same raised roof over the troop compartment.

Having worked in them, this would be a more accurate description of the Bison.

Instead of putting the CAV hatch and machine gun & sighting. I used the LAV 25 turret. Pretty easy to me. Try it with out glue, see if you like it.

Shawno,

I may be LAV II Coyote, just used Styker CAV hull & paired it with LAV 25 turret to replicate the Canadian vehicle as shown above in the post.

On the back left corner on the hull put the Styker CAV sighting/targeting box, glueing to the hull, two I have elevated for survellience.

I will try to work on photos.....
