Hey. I love the real world vehicle, and was wondering if anyone has yet ordered and received them.
Would it be possible for ghq to post a picture of an unpainted model? or anyone else if they have a picture... I like to see before I buy, as I'm a poor fella at the bottom of the rank structure.
Cheers.

shawno,
Not sure quite what the "process" is... but from observations, I think some of the guys who post here acquire the new products, paint them, send pictures to GHQ, and then a picture gets posted.
I won't mention names here, for fear of omitting anybody -- but some of the guys here are really, REALLY,
REALLY good at painting Micro Armor!!
I do NOT know if any of the aforementioned folks are GHQ employees... wouldn't surprise me, look at how good their models are!!
(Yes, I'm a fan... how could you tell!?

)

Chris,
I've got to field enough for my Division don't I? what I haven't yet found out is if they are a one for one replacement of the Luchs - so I would need about 34 or if they downscaled at the same time they moved to the new vehicle. If I overshoot the mark I'll just have build the Franco-German Corps or Brigade whatever it is.
And no I don't have territorial demands - they're territorial rights!

Hi,
the new german recce-company has 12x Fennek, 4xBÜR ( battlefield survillance radar on a Dingo2), 2 x Dingo (for scout-troops).
The Fennek is use in Troops of 2 vehicles (on with a 7,62 MG and one withe a 40mm automatic granat launcher).
But the Fennek is also used as
Artillery observer (Germany)
Joint fire support team (in development for germany)
Command and operations vehicle (in service with Dutch and german pioneers)
Dutch MRAT (medium-range anti-tank) variant,
Fennek with Stinger SAM for the Dutch Forces.
best regards

Florian,
Is the new TO&E an independent unit or is that one company from the Division Aufklarer Battalion?

Hi Paul,
the garman army get smaler and smaler.
So until 2010 the german army only has 5 x recce-batalion, 2x recce-company (airmobile) and 2 recce-companies.
The german army has two typs of units the EingreifKräfte (intervention forces) and the Stabilisierungskräfte (stabilisation forces).
Eingreifkräfte are the first line of untis which goes into the battlefield or out of area missions.
This is one Division, this division has a recce-batalion with
1x hq and logstic company
3x recce company with Fennek (like I tell you in the post before)
1x UAV company with KZO/Brevel
and a platoon of op-info.
This Division has 2 Brigades. Every brigade has an own Recce-company with:
a UAV-platoon (use Luna-UAV) and a op-info platoon.
The Stabilisierungskräfte has a Recce-batalion pro Brigade (no more units on division).
this batalion has:
1x hq and logistic company
2x recce company (and this is important) with 16x Fennek in the first company and 16x Luchs in the secound (the other equipment is the same as I tell before.
1x UAV company
and a platoon op-info.
I hope you can undestand my bad english.
best regards
florian

Wow i might be getting 30 as well...
I feel sorta weird spending money on models when most of my friends spend their money on booze.
But their is some comfort in having an entire armoured regiment beside my bed...

(1) Ask your friends the next morning if they enjoy having their hangovers around... while you, meantime, will most likely still be getting satisfaction from your micro armor... and anyway, as we all know -- you don't actally buy beer, you just rent it!
(2) And if you no longer find comfort in having "an entire armoured regiment beside my bed", you will undoubtably find a market for said regiment, in which you can recoup many, if not most, of your expenditures. Just try
that with alcohol... especially if it's already been used once!

30 Fenneks on the way. I was disappointed I missed the cut-off for the 15% sale until I found a web retailer offering GHQ at 20% off. Now I don't feel so bad!

Yeah, I know. I'm not sure how they can offer the entire GHQ line at 20% off so we'll see how the service after the sale works out.
