Federal Standards for color

Post by Pitfall »

I was reading through one of Squadron's reference books, and I came across references to federal standard color codes. Is there anyplace online that I can view the colors by inputting the code? Or does anyone know where I can obtain a print copy of the color chips?
I wish I had something witty to say...

Try this PDF... doesn't let you input the number, but it gives many of the numbers by color, with a color chip.

http://www.mafva.org.uk/PDF/FederalStan ... ntSpec.pdf I think you could print this if you have a good printer.

Hope this helps...

you could ask someone here...as they used to have instructions to get the fan deck

http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/

The recently shut down all their FS stuff because the GSA linked to the above modelling site & caused alot of anger at ipms. But, they will have the instructions somewere for you. iirc, it's $75

"What is GSA?"

I believe it's the US General Services Administration.

This is the FAX template I used to order it. Unfortunately, I don't have the GSA FAX #, but ipms will have it. You should call the following GSA employee first to verify the 2007 price tag

FAX

Please forward to LaFreda McLean

I would like to order the 595b Federal Colors Fan deck (quantity 1) @ $75.

Lucky Lucky Lucky

I just found all the contact info I printed out from ipms several years ago. I PDF'd it, so if you want a copy email me & I'll send it to you. I can't seem to paste it here.
