Are the T-72 and T-64 models sized correctly?

The T-72 seems to be really long when compared with other tanks.

I believe in real life the T-72 is 6.9 m long and the T-64 is 6.5m long. But the T-72 looks a lot more than .5 scale meters longer to the models to me.

Anyone else notice this?

6910mm/285 is about 24.25mm. Excluding the auxillary tanks, the model is about 24.75mm. Good enough for me.

6540mm/285 is about 22.95mm. The model is about bang on.

So the T-72 is a smidgeon too big (about 5½" full size), but it's the external tanks that accentuate the length.

chrisswim,

If you wash them in really hot water... maybe they'll shrink to the "proper" length!

I thought cold water caused shrinkage. Oh wait, that's for something else.
