1/300 C-27J Available

Post by stevecolletti »

Hi All,

Ian finished development of the C-27J (derived from G222). He has a painted one available on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/1-300-scale-White-m ... dZViewItem). I measured the prototype's length, height (at tail and fuselage), wingspan, fuselage diameter, engine and gear - 12 separate measurements with a caliper - and each dimension is within 6 (1/300) scale inches of the original's specifications. Amazing work.

Take a look.

WOW!

So I can order these in multiple peices...I was looking for a model like this.

Would it be possible to see an assembled, but unpainted model? The painted ones look great, but i'd like to see one unpainted. I could use at least 4 of these...

How to buy?

Post by Peter »

Steve, how can we get in touch with the guy making these planes? I would be interested in buying an unassembled version to put together and paint myself.

Thanks!

Thank you Thomas!

If Ian sells enough of these, I can get him to make other models. I'm pushing for IL-76 and Caribou next.

There are a lot of transports that aren't made by anyone and can act as terrain or function as a unit on the board.

Thanks,
Steve

Peter,

I forgot that I have photos of the prototype during original workup and after priming if that helps.

Email me if you'd like me to send them to you.

Hi Fulcrum,

I haven't been able to post pics to this forum, so here is a friend's site that has the shots we took of the prototype (minus props, but assembled and primed) near other models (terrain and vehicles) for scale.

You can find Ian's ebay pics by searching on "C27J" or "G222". Next time he'll include "C-27J".

I think that he's selling them too cheap (not sure if I'm allowed to say how much).

Any idea how we can get some of these (also the landing craft) as the castings and not painted? - I have wanted an LCT6 for a long time.

Thanks

I apologize to anyone who's emailed me for Ian's contact information. My spam filter was set too tightly and it has been removing emails. I've set it now where I can review anything that comes to me.

Sorry,
Steve

I have just got a shipment from Ian and they are brilliant. Very fast (5 days) to Australia and really well packed. Best thing is he is doing many things GHQ do not cover and the quality is good.
