The "winter blues" topic touched lightly on possibly doing Jutland some where, some how. As it happens my gaming club and I were working on just that project (using another company's ships alas). The ships are painted but need to be mounted. The rules are 90% of the way there - we are converting the fast-play Ben King rules "Dreadnought" and putting them onto PC for all hit rolls and record keeping.
If you're interested in drop me a line...

Cool. Where are you guys located?
Our group in northern Indiana have played Dreadnought rules a few times. We were also going to use a simple program to handle damge and whatnot. It is a simple system, but the arithmetic can be a headache.
One variant that we play is with paper targets and BB guns. Instead of rolling to hit, you fire at a target, record locations and then calculate damage. Mucho fun on a nice summer day!

I wish I had something witty to say...

My club is in the Chicago area, but I'm moving to Cincinnati.
The rules are NOT the Fear God set. They are fast-play rules, well suited to speedy battles even with big ships.
We liked them beccause their "to hit" was nifty. Roll your range or greater to hit. Heavy guns have 20" range and roll a d20, medium guns roll a d12, light guns a d10. But the damage charts, while easy, are a bit time consuming for Jutland (tho just fine for smaller battles). We played smaller battles with players each controlling a combat force of 2-5 capital ships plus assorted cruisers and destroyers. We could have a good long fight in 3-4 hours and play on a smaller table (typically 4 x 6 or 5 x 7). I sell them on my web-shop as well as the pre-Dread set called Sides of Steel....
If anyone in Cinci would like a game, let me know and once I'm settled in (I move next week) I'll put the word out.
