Cincinnati Gamers Sound Off!

Post by Extra Crispy »

Anyone out there who lives in/near Cincinnati, OH? I move there next week and would like to hook up with the local clubs etc. Won't have my figs ready for a while but I'll bring snacks!

Extra Crispy,
The gaming scene in Cincinnati is diverse. Check in at the boardwalk on delphi ave. to find them. A short trip to Dayton( Warweb, Wexford hill game store), Lexington(Rusty Scabbard, Albrieght's), or Louisville(Louisville Game Shop, Pet Shop Comics) will allow you to fullfill your desires to play. Contact me at cmckllar<at>bbtel<dot>com for more info. (Also, most of the noted stores go by their manes on the net)

I'm in Dayton, and Wexford is great for gaming, not just buying. They do carry GHQ as well, but not the biggest stock on hand - the WW2 stuff is on sale at the moment. Warweb has worked with me that I order online and then get an email when the purchase is ready to pick up. The down side is they arent open on weekends, so it would save you shipping if you order knowing you will be in Dayton before 5:30 PM. Their shop is in Centerville, south of Dayton. Afraid I havent made it to Cinci for gaming. There is a one day gaming convention in Cinci coming up in June. Check HMGSGL.com for info on that and other regional conventions. Microarmor is making a comeback at some of the cons, and they are also a great way to meet other players in the area. Oh, there is a one day con in March, also on the above site, located in Covington, KY, so watch for that. No need to bring your armies, the GMs will have them for anything listed on the schedule. I play Napoleonics, medieval, and Vietnam in 6mm/Microarmor - all my Vietnam stuff so far is GHQ. Had to go with 15s for WW1, but hey, they were on a 75% off sale
