I would like to thank the crew from Indiana for coming up to play a Mini campaign yesterday. Fullmetaljacket,Pitfall,Black Dragon,Dave ,and Jim-Thanks. Its too bad we didn't have more time.
I like the idea you guys had about "agressive"CAP. Such a simple idea that never really occured to me until yesterday. That threw the USN for a loop for at least 2 turns, which also threw their entire way of thinking off for more turns.
I was surprised that the Japanese battleship group was the first ones to be found, and bombed. Thinking about that, they probably should have been better to back off a few hundred miles until the US airpower was dealt with first.
The next turn would really have proved interesting with you guys having 4 carriers worth of strke aircraft ready to go...
While up there I got a chance to look at GQIII. I will stick with GQII,especially wanting to play games like yesterday and larger.

thanks for putting on the game JB, was a good time i just wish we where not 4hrs from one another. I could see a lot more gaming sessions with all of us playing. The game was a good time also as for the aggressive zero's well that is something we thought about and well if you have them you might as well use them. As for pictures roughrider I will post them here in a day or so. Cant wait till the next meeting and of course the Last Square is always a great host and a great place to spend my money:)

I greatly thank you for the invite!
Alas, Hillman/Alpena is 352 miles from South Bend according to Mapquest. That would be quite a distance for a Saturday. As a pastor, my congregations would expect to see me early Sunday morning. So that leaves me Friday night and half a Saturday. Still, it may be worth it to do something along the lines of a mini Midway/Guad'lc'n'l campaign.
For something really special, on occasion, I might be able to convince my wife and children the expense in time and gas money would be worth it to lift my spirits.
Somewhere down the future Iw as wanting to do something along the lines of a Solomons campaign. The thing nice about a campaign like this is you don't need everybody ,everytime (yeah, I agree but everyone wants to be there everytime, but we all know reality with everyone spread apart).
I was using this current Midway campaign as a training tool for everyone involved for future things of this nature. I really, really enjoyed seeing both sides taking thier reports of enemy moves and actions and coming up with ideas on how to deal with each other. Even though I really deep down wanted to command the USS Enterprise and its air wing.
Also I will be working with Cama to start up a WWII campaign. I beleive it will invlove Naval for sure...

Guys - focus! Where are the pictures! This sounds like it was a really cool scenario you played out. I have been working, working and working some more with no time to play or paint. I need my fix. Show ussome pictures of your awesome event!
