Mk I, ACWBill, Pibber,

First off, guys -- thanks for these wonderful posts!

Mk I -- While I'm a big fan of "realistic terrain", I do like your set-ups -- especially your hills. With the different "levels" of cardboard, it is easy to "see" the rises in terrain -- kind of like a contour map, but in 3-D. Also, your use of flock and "shrubbery" on them helps draw away from the "cardboard - ness" -- nice touch!

ACWBill -- I really enjoy seeing your Civil War models, and especially love the "eye-level" shots of the troops crossing the pontoon bridge! You don't often see shots taken from that point of view!!

Pibber -- WOW! I almost feel like I'm cruising along in "Grasshopper", looking for an enemy positing to call down artillery on! Fantastic!

Many thanks again guys -- and keep up the good work!!

Regards,
Tom Stockton

ACWBill:

Beautiful stuff! Flags waving, smoke billowing. Nice.

Pibber:

C'est magnifique! Tellement, c'est tres bien fait!

BUT:

How about the stories of the battles you're both showing us? C'mon, boys. We do love the models, and we do love the terrain. But we (at least some of us) also love the games!

What happened to those fine fellows who marched across the pontoon bridge?

Did the M10 get the best of thos StuGs I see coming up the road?

Enquiring minds want to know.

Pibber - wow Dood

Amazing stuff. How much space must you have available to be able to set that up in?

Terrain looks great, but as Mk1 says, whats the story behind the pictures?

While I appreciate Fulcrum's desire not to "bog down" a forum... I would love to hear how you do your terrain. While I am pleased with most of my results as of late, I'm always looking for ways to improve. My guess is you're using something along the lines of floor or ceiling tile, maybe 12" or about 25cm per side. But whatever it is you're doing -- it looks great! Please feel free to share -- if not in this thread, maybe in one of the others, like the "Show us yer stuff" thread.

And of course... photos will always be appreciated!! :D

btw, Rick... still think your terrain is pretty top notch, too!!

Tom Stockton
