My 1/2400 Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group (CSG)

Post by Tim Barron »

While I am not a gamer, I built a 1/2400 diorama of the nine ships of the Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group (CSG) as deployed for Operation Enduring Freedom in 2002. Eight of the nine ships are from GHQ, which includes the CVN, two CGs, one DDG, one DD, two FFGs, and one SSN. The AOE is from another vendor.

All of the photos are available here: http://timbarron.net/models.html

As the photos are high-resolution, I will not post them here. But here some example thumbnails. Drop by my site to see them in high-resolution.

P.S. When I built this diorama in 2003, I used decals from a company called SeaBat, which I'm nearly positive is now defunct. The made numeral decals and helo markings for modern 1/2400 warships.

About every two months, I get an e-mail from someone who Google's my site, and asks me where to obtain similar decals. Is there a curent source that I can direct these inquiries to?
