As JB has noted, our local forum pest, the SQL Error, has returned.

For those who have not been through SQerL attacks with us before, this forum software somehow manages to get itself into the mood to (apperantly, but not actually) reject postings. When you hit the "SUBMIT" button at the end of preparing your post, it sends you to a DEBUG MODE page that enumerates an SQL Error report.

My suggestion to you is if you find yourself at this page, go back to your post (using your browser's "BACK" button), copy your post to your clipboard, and paste it into a .DOC or .TXT file. Better yet, so long as the SQerL is around a nipping at us, do the copy-and-paste BEFORE you hit the SUBMIT button on your post. (This is good advice, as sometimes the SQerL seems to eat your posting altogether, and when you go BACK to it you find it is not there.)

If you have been clever enough to save your posting in a file, when you get the DEBUG MODE SQL Error message, just continue on to the forum. Your post will probably not appear. But please, DO NOT go back and repost it right away. That is how we wind up with two, three, six, and forty-seven reposts of the same message. Just hang out for a bit, and see if your post appears within 10 or 20 minutes. If it doesn't, you can go back and re-post it using the contents you have saved away in your .DOC or .TXT file. But give it a little time first, because the SQerL often releases messages that it has been holding, after just a little while.

The presence of the SQerL was communicated to our gracious forum hosts yesterday (Monday). I have provided them the details on the error messages, which they have communicated on to their hosting service. I expect that the SQerL will be chased away shortly, if it is not already gone.

Please stay tuned. And don't stop posting. Just stop posting forty-six repeats.

Ding dong, the SQerL is DEAD!

The good folks at GHQ have confirmed to me that their website support team has vanquished the SQerL. Post away, and hold nothing back!

We now return you to your regularly scheduled forum.
