Stryker MC

"The new Stryker variant replaces the MCV-A, which transported mortars that had to be unloaded and set up to fire. The MCV-Bs 120mm mortar is mounted and fires from inside the vehicle through doors that swing open atop the vehicle. It also includes a digital fire control system that can receive fire missions and help the vehicles five-man crew aim the mortar more effectively.

Each of the mortar vehicles has the mounted 120mm mortar and carries a second mortar that has to be unloaded and set up for firing. The MCV-B at battalion level carries the 81mm mortar; company mortar vehicles carry the 60mm version."

Has anyone else seen references to this configuration of the Stryker MC? for now I'll use the current GHQ 120mm model to stand in for the company and battalion-level versions. GHQ...any plans to update the pack content for these lower level versions?

Thanks!

Tim

Hi,

According to the research I have done the MCV-B all carry the 120mm permantly attached inside. The only difference is the the secoundary mortar carried is either a 81mm or a 60mm, that can be set up outside the MCV. Though I could have missed something since there is not as much data out there. I hope I understood your qustion.

I should have been more clear! I was refering to the content of the US infantry pack which only has 60mm mortars. No 120s and no 81s. For now I'll use the 60s as a generic marker for the 81s, but it would be nice to have the very standard battalion-level weapon available.
