I'm thinking about using this pack for my modern Americn Styker battalion:

Heavy Weapons - WWII German
GHQ Stock # G80
Machine guns with 81mm & 120mm mortars

What's in the pack? Are the weapons seperate from the figures?

If molded with the figures, can the WWII German figures in real "fritz helmets" stand in for modern Americans at 1/285? Having bought a large number of GHQ's modern individual figures I would think not since the moderns are large enough to see details.

I think the WW2 german mortar servants are to "thiny" compared to the modern us figurines. The heads are really small compared to the "huge" Us modern helmet. But this can pass quite un-noticed on the board. I think also that You can easily cut the figuers from the mortar, especially from the 120mm.

How about the US Viet Nam figures? They seem to include the larger mortars and appear to be in the same larger style as the new figures (yes, I really like the over-scaled infantry. Easier to see!) Thin or thick?
